Bigger don't mean stronger, he has to extend some ****ing long arms and keep the weight steady all the way. He is probably **** at it if anything.
Not much. Guys that tall have freakish strength but don't have the mechanical advantages to bench much weight. Played with a guy in football like that. Super long defensive lineman with lots of power but couldn't bench 300 because his arms were so long.
Size doesnt matter ive seen plenty of big guys who cant lift all that much in the gym....but then again ive seen big guys be weak in the gym and then go out and lift a car so some people its hard to tell.
Arms are too long, I bet he can bench a little more than Shawn Bradley could when he came into the NBA, which is said to be under 100 lbs.
Different types of lifts requires different muscle parts. I seen guys who can bench 3 plates but have a hard time doing a 100lb barbell curl. Some people are just built weird or trains funny.
you guys need to keep in mind this is as skinny as valuev can be, hes doing a boxing workout.. if he did a workout for mass and bulk, did some roids, and bench pressed twice a week for a couple years im sure he would get wider, thicker, and stronger than he already is
Yep. Big guys who walk into my gym can press up atleast 315 easy. I'm betting a man Valuev's size could do a few reps with 405 even if he's never benched before in his life. 405 lbs is 4 - 45 lb plates on each side for a total of 8 plates for those of you who don't know.
being that I benched 305 when I was a kid Im going to say he should be able to bench well over a 100 pounds more then a 18 year old can
