Dan Rafael (12:11 PM): I have not written because I am told that despite Arum's talk that all the points are agreed to and they are awaiting Floyd's approval only that in fact all points are not agreed to. When the deal is actually done (or not done) rest assured I will write.

Rafael's a major fan of Floyd and Manny. He's a biased **** all round though. Except when he has a fat tantrum about the sanctioning orgs.

A manipulative fellow with always discerning ulterior motives. Someone not to be trusted, and someone who probably doesn't care about the fans want. He doesn't tell you the truth, he will always try to quietly push his agenda. The Floyd "ducking" this and that talk is being completely over highlighted by questions about what the hell Bob Arum is doing. He's a ****ing cockroach (No pun intended?).

 

Rafael knows less about the sport of boxing as he does about eating bread and potatoes. So, who cares what Dan thinks.

 

Dan has expressed views that pretty much put him in the camp with people that think Floyd hasn't beaten the right fighters at the right time to back up his claims of greatness though he gave him a lot of props for how easily he dismantled Shane. I wouldn't call him a hater just because he wouldn't overstate the significance of Floyd beating JMM on his comeback.

I also don't think what he has said constitutes him thinking Bob is scum. They're pretty realistic about what's going on with the constant press quotes. I think a lot of people should take what Bob "Yesterday I was lying,Today i'm telling the truth" Arum with a grain of salt.

 

Did you guys not realize that Rafael and Arum have had a longstanding mutual hatred for each other? Rafael reported that Bob Arum gave him the finger after Yuri Foreman's win over Santos on the Pacquiao-Cotto undercard.

A promoter holding up a fight no way not in boxing ..This could never happen ! We need a unilateral body to prevent all this crap ! And they better not charge 80 bucks for this if this is what im hearing ..

From what I've read by Rafa the Hut in the past he doesn't particularly like Arum. He's aware that Arum is full of **** but appreciates that unlike the Don with the Bobfather you can always tell where you personally stand with him.
