A very good performance and decent win for JQ... Bodell wasn't exactly a world beater, but not a tomato can either, and Jerry did a number on him.

Knocked him out in one punch.
Bodell was a decent fighter, and having him under Quarry's resume definately helps.

Good find:good I didnt even know the outcome when i saw this thread but 20 seconds into the fight i knew Jerry would end things quick. Bodelll actually had some decent hand speed but overall he looked like a glorified toughman fighter. Although his record shows that he has some wins over a few former contenders.

i remember that fight well.bodell went looking for quarry's fist with his chin and found it.
i'll bet jerry couldn't believe it was so easy.

" Did you find Bodell awkward"? Commentator.

"Well, he sure fell awkward". Quarry.

Agreed. Between 1970/75 Jerry was capable of beating anyone, bar Ali,Foreman,Frazier and Norton.

He felt Danny Mc Alindens too around this time. The same guy beat Ali's brother Rahman on the undercard of FOTC
