Why hasn't Guilhermo Jones defended his WBA tittle?

    He won against Fırat Arslan nearly two years ago. But, he has not fought again or defended his WBA belt since this fight. Then, WBA has not any done any obligation about him. The Panaman fighter is injured, has menager problem or retire from boxing, not officially?

    So, tonight's fight between Fırat Arslan and Steve Herelius fight is named WBA interim tittle? I think this fight's winner may face Valery Brudov for real championship, but if this fight's winner go up to WBA champion, what will Brudov's position, now?

    Fought from Welter to Cruiser. I guess that win was his signal to retire.

    if guillermo really retired it would be a shame...that fight where he won the belt is an underrated classic..he savaged arslan to pieces with uppercuts all night..bloody as all hell

    Guillermo Jones is probably the best cruiserweight out there. I have said this since he won the title in a brilliant fight (as mentioned above).
