Wlad is too stiff and one dimensional to beat a prime Tyson.

    WHAT?!?

Ray Charles, is that you?

You must have never seen that short left hook to the ribs and left uppercut to the chin. Do you think that was thrown from the outside.

Taylor made are 6"0 nobodies who try to trade with Tyson toe-to-toe. That's who he looked good against.

Tyson's worst nightmare is a 6"5+ skilled boxer (not brawler) with a decent jab and good control of range that has arms like an octopus and knows how to grab like a huggy bear. Think Lennox Lewis. Wlad would play the same Lennox-style hugging game, get 1-2 points deducted and then easily take out Iron Mike in the 2nd half.

Again, another guy that clearly doesn't understand the stylistic implications of this fight.

In fact, did you even watch Lewis vs Tyson?

You would find that Lewis' elusiveness, IE his ability to slip and move away from punches by using mobility above his waist and his footwork, in combination with his UPPERCUTS were what sealed the deal vs Tyson.

Of course Lennox's jab played a big role, but Wlad has nothing to offer Tyson when Tyson gets in, and doesn't get low enough to keep Tyson tenative.

Tyson would have little trouble slipping Wlad's limited offensive arsenal and then tag him repeatedely as Wlad tried to flee by bending back and away from Tyson's punches.

And in reality, Tyson's style was made to use against taller bigger men, where he could use his size and stature to his advatnage.

Against guys like Holyfield for instance, and in my opinion, Joe Louis, Tyson did and would lose. Those guys were also not giants.

    Wlad is not LEWIS.

Hey stupid. Tyson fought Lewis well after his reign of terror and well deep into his decline. That wasn't anywhere near a PRIME Tyson. Plus, Tyson has KO'ed many >6 foot solid fighters.

Defo Tyson KO inside 3. Very possibly the 1st round but maybe Wlad could hang on and survive the early onslaught. Vitali IMO would last longer but still I doubt would see the last round. But if you got past the 7th with Tyson you usually went all the way.

i don't even care much for the heavyweight division, but prime for prime tyson dominates the klitchkos and any other current heavyweight.

It's called mid-range slugging, idiots. This is fighting inside:

You're either joking or sarcastic.. or both. Lewis' elusiveness? Did you wantch the fight? Huggy bear Lennox was grabbing Tyson I believe over 80 times. He got a point deducted in round 2.

After 3-4 rounds of this "grab n' lean" Tyson tired and became a sitting duck. Why? Because Tyson with his very limited style (and low ring intelligence) didn't have an answer for a dirty grab n' lean fight. Lewis outgrabbed and outsmarted him.

    THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED.

Mobility above his waist are you kidding me? Go watch the Steward interviews after the fight he admits that their goal from the onset was to grab, frustrate and tire Tyson in the earlier rounds.

They never planned or executed a plan to elusively and beautifully outbox Tyson. Where are you getting this non-sense from? Tyson - Lewis was one of the dirtiest HW title fights in recent HW history.

Stylistically, the Klitschko brothers (particularly young Klitschko) match up poorly against Tyson. I don't see them being able to beat Tyson.

I was pulling your leg, but to say tyson couldn't fight inside doesn't make any sense to me. He fought inside and went to the body with short right and left hooks very often. He bobbed and weaved his way inside to where he could hit with shorter arms.

Seriously I have never seen anyone try to pin Tyson as a mid-range slugger. No doubt toward the end of his career he began adopting that style(and suffered for it), but claiming that Tyson couldn't fight inside is a little ridiculous.

Yea like who? Who was 6"5 or 6"6, had the elite skill level and ring intelligence of either Lewis or either Klit brother _AND_ was brutally knocked out by Tyson inside two rounds in his prime.

    You won't find one.

Tyson fought a bunch of mediocre contenders in his alleged prime and among his best wins against taller guys are guys like Frank Bruno (who wouldn't hold a paper belt today), Larry Holmes (who was how old again, 57?) and Razor Ruddock (who lasted like 90 seconds against Lennox without landing a single punch).

You must be on crack mate.

Bruno would ice Haye within about two rounds, and would beat Vitali pretty handily as well.
