The cardinal reason why Americans have, and probably never will, achieve greatness in the Supermiddleweight division is a combination of two factors. One, the divison is currently dominated by European fighters. Two, Americans have a fearful unwillingness to travel to Europe and fight tough, Euro-level competition, which will hinder their ability to gain stronger footing in the SMW divison.

Ridiculous, someone isnt going to be able to fight all those fights are they, but on each of those ratings hes beaten no less than 2 on each even if some names are repeated. Do you think when hes beaten bigger names like Kessler and Lacy that he would worry about anyone on those lists, still

WBC, Calzaghe beat Woodhall who owned a win over Catley who beat Lucas. Beyer wasnt interested in facing Calzaghe. Calzaghe beat B Mitchell #8 on that list who had arguably more world title success then the other fighters.

WBA, Joe beat Mitchell the champ on the list, who had beaten Siaca, as well as Veit and Starie who you note, he also ended up beating Woodhall and Brewer. Calzaghe was scheduled to meet Tate but Tate pulled out and retired.

IBF, Ottke wouldnt face Joe, Tate as noted above pulled out, Brewer he ended up beating when he fought him who beat Pemberton, and as you noted beat Veit, Sheika and Starie.

WBO, beat Veit as noted, Barr got beat by Mkertchyan who Joe beat, as earlier mentioned Joe beat Mitchell later, as you note Joe beat Woodhall and Sheika and he later beat Jimenez

So out of around 22 different fighters Joe beat around 7 of them with one of them pulling out, two of them not willing to fight him and Barr getting beat and losing his mandatory shot.

Hopefully this humoured the Troll :good

Uhhh, it's 2010 now. You don't have to pretend like the above rankings are current. And the fearful unwillingness you speak of is actually fearful needlessness.
