He should be able to do his body weight easily, yey i know he has long arms but still should push that weight up rather easily. Even though Boxers dont lift for strength i cant think of any world class fighters that couldnt lift their body weight.

are you looking at the same picture?? Valeuv looks strong? doubt he can bench 300 pounds....just because someone is 330 pounds of goo, doesnt make him strong....he has some strength....but hes no stronger than holyfield is right now and hes 46 years old

I think this is a common misconception. In my experience of training people, I find the vast majority being unable to bench press their own weight initially. This even applies, in lower proporations, to people who are very active in amateur sports, who haven't lifted before. So to me, benching your own weight is a good goal to get to rather than something that's already given with most people.

Ok first off being 46 and in shape doesnt take anything away from your physical strength. We are not talking boxing here. Holy is probably stronger now than he has ever been. An athelete usually peaks in their mid 20s to 30 yrs old. As far as physical strength the athelete gets stronger. You should know speed, reflexes are the first thing to go. Strength stays the same(if you stay in shape) or even improves. Many of the 30-45 year olds i know that stay active are stronger than they were in their 20s. Myself Included. Id bet you an old George was Physically stronger than the Young George same with countless atheletes i could mention but the list would go on forever so ill just let you figure it out.
I would be amazed if i could bench more than Valuev( i benched 325 last time i maxed), and he outweighs me by 120 lbs and 18 inches in height. A man that huge has natural strength, and Valuev is not some out of shape goo like you say. He just doesnt have the "Athletic" body. But believe this he is a very strong man.

This thread should be merged with the Sugar Nikolai Express.

    Then Valuev should bench it.

    All true facts. FACT!

As the SNV thread starter, I am all for it. Can we actually do this?

While we're at it, can we get the mods to un-ban me from starting new threads? I've got so much more to offer. FACT!

PS: If Vitali stops hiding from Niko and they get in the ring, I got some VERY BIG plans... MOO-HOO-HA-HA-HAAA!

Thank Aries, god of Mars. Who is this Valuev? Is he anything like Gentleman Jim?

Well...he is a gentleman and a scholar, as well as a legend killer. But he's also far larger than Corbett. Unless you meant the Gentleman Jim who works as a male escort and wears those cutoff denim shorts. Valuev is nothing like that man.
