lol yes i watched the shitty fight again on TSN

I can't believe some of the **** that came out of Bernstein and Tarver's mouth in that fight.

Allan Green is really a better fighter than anyone who Roy fought?? lmaooo

Andre Ward only has Mikkell Kessler....Miranda and Green are not good wins, they haven't won against anybody notable. Miranda will never be a good win, Allan Green maybe can make a name for himself but i doubt it.

When they both had 22 fights

    Ward was 22 (13KO's) - 0

    with a win over Kessler

    Jones was 22 (20KO's)

With wins over Vaca, Castro and Hopkins....

really i don't know why i made a thread as it has been discussed a lot, but a lot of bull**** talk throughout that fight.

Ward is turning into a big hype job. But I do understand them needing to generate stars.

Well, to be fair I do think the Miranda and Green fights were good wins. Ward did dominate quality fighters (may'be Green to a lesser extent), but still I agree very poor choice of words used by Tarver. Ward is on the right track, but still miles away from being on RJJ level.

  4. Ward is in no way similar to Roy Jones. In fact, he's a carbon copy of Bernard ****ing Hopkins. I also can't stand when ring announcers glorify cheating or refer to cheaters (e.g. Ward, Hopkins) as being "crafty veterans" when throwing intentional low blows, rabbit punches, elbows and head butts, holding on the inside, etc.

I guess Margarito was a crafty veteran for stuffing bricks in his gloves, too?

He's pulling a veteran move alright.

Miranda and Green aren't better fighters than Roy Jones dominated in his prime.

    Kessler, on the other hand...

Again, we're talking about fighters Roy dominated. He did fight a couple of great fighters in his prime, but those weren't the ones he dominated (although some diehards will insist he did).

Based on what? What makes him not deserving of being the Super Six favorite?

Ward will only fight in his home town. Klitschkos are the best fighters in the world today. They would knock out all heavyweights today and they would knock out Ward easily, Void easily, Dawson easily, in fact, they will beat "all" fighters in "all" divisions. HBO does not like that. Klitschkos will beat all their fighters period.

You would actually vote to reinstate the color line if such a thing appeared on a ballot, wouldn't you?

I objectively defend Wladimir against his droves of critics perhaps more than any other reasonable poster on this site.

Note that I said reasonable. :yep

As for Tarver's comment, it probably served two purposes. I think Ward impresses him and he wants to heap praise on him to promote his name - that statement coming from Jones' conqueror is pretty deep (even if it isn't heartfelt).

It was also probably just a subtle dig at his old rival.

They never exactly buried the hatchet, did they?

I know how badly the Klitschkos have been treated in America and by the American media. Years ago they even lied.

Vitali sold out at MSG, NY, USA during a snowstorm! HBO has proven my point.

You probably got a point.... But try reading your comment and looking at your avatar from time to time... You start to hear his voice narrating what you just said.. Eventually, you don't care if it's a valid point or not because it sounds annoying...

Damn man, remove the Klits balls from your mouth. This thread has NOTHING to do with heavyweights let alone the Klits. Its like you have a crush on these guys and cant think of anything but them. do you have dreams about sack swapping, or going to a Klit ballsack lick-a-ton.

Stay on task simpleton, this is about what Tarver said, which was nothing about the Klits.
