Why wouldnt they? ya its two different sports but at the same time this was a fight between two huge dudes and anyone who likes fighting would probably be interested.

Im not an mma fan in the slightest but even i tuned in for this fight.... Brock is a physical freak and while i dont like mma i like watching him fight.

  4. I order almost every UFC PPV even though I find the athletes to be second-rate and can't watch any fights without thinking "any decent boxer would knock both these ***gots clean the **** out".

That said, what the **** happened tonight? Were there special criteria instated for this fight as far as stoppages go? Brock appeared to be unconscious at least once in the first round and was certainly not defending himself for long periods, but the referee allowed the fight to continue.

Then Carwin punches himself out throwing arm punches from a seated position for 4 minutes? Don't these ****ers train at all?

Regardless, I'm glad Lesnar won and I always root for him, because I find it hilarious that a WWE Superstar is dominating the "other" fight sport.

    Lesnar has big crossover appeal.

The WWE crowd. Closer to mainstream than the regular MMA crowd.

    The general combat fans.

    The curious casual sports fan.

If they manage him well, he will be the UFC's cash cow, I think.

That was an awful fight. The whole time watching this i was thinking "and this is more exciting than boxing"?? I saw more hugging, sloppy arm punches on the ground (AKA Ground and Pound), and leaning on each other huffing and puffing, than actual fighting. I swear the only reason the public believes MMA is better than boxing, is because Dana White told them so. It pisses me off to no end boxers going to these fights. I'm Facebook friends with Wayne McCullough, and he goes to EVERY UFC and promotes it to no end on his page, while not even mentioning boxing's biggest fights. If I didn't respect him more, I'd tell him to cut that pathetic **** out.

it's ridiculous when this **** is considered like a major fight of the year and people in america say "boxing is dead and this has replaced it!" If this kind of scrap is an example of a solid UFC fight then

i would rather watch 20 b hop fights in a row than that ****:rofl

I dont think most of the MMA fans think that boxing sucks.

MMA is just another type of combat arts that you can choose to watch.

I think MMA is easier to accept if your cultural background or where you grew up, had other popular combat sports, like karate, judo, taekwondo, and other types of hand to hand combat, and you were exposed to more types of fighting sports.

  13. I don't know if I'd go THAT far.....
