Who is physically stronger: UFC champ LESNAR or Strikeforce champ OVEREEM?

Lesnar is stronger.

 

Brock, the guy is a total beast of a man!

 

Lesnar spent a huge part of his career on PED's and supplying PED's. Please dont ignore that fact.

 

i would bet brock waz overall a bit stronger but overeem is also pretty dam quick so i dont think it would be a walk over for brock as it would be with just about any other top heavy

yeah that polish guy would be stronger than brock no doubt but i dont think he has so far shown the potential to create that into WORKABLE strength against a top level mma guy

 

Lesnar looks stronger, even compared to recent Overeem.

Looks don't tell it all, though.

 

Im going against the grain and choosing Overeem. Lesnar looks much stronger but he WAS getting pushed around by Couture not so long ago, Overeem threw Rogers around like he was a ragdoll.

Its not really possible to quantify who is stronger. BUT Overeem is clearly the better conditioned fighter in terms of muscularity. He boasts far better physical conditioning than Brock which may lead to the assumption that he is stronger. Also its worth bearing in mind - as you pointed out - the ridiculous ease with which he threw 260lbs Rogers to the mat. That did surprise me ALOT.

If you compare Brock in his WWE days its not close. But currently id probably lean towards Overeem.

 

I think Lesnar but Overeem is a monster too.

Brock when he was on hormones and in the WWE. Alot fuller thicker and harder. Then he was around 295lbs with an insane amount of athleticism for a man his size. Shooting star presses for a dude 300lbs? Absurd!!

Brock in his MMA debut in the K1 and when he fought Frank Mir. Still an awesome physical specimen with ALOT of width and a huge broad back.

Overeem currently. Filled out from the days he used to kill himself to make 205. Its very evident Overeem used to drop alot of weight as it showed in his fights through his poor conditioning and weak chin. He also had a ton of stretch marks on his delts and biceps.

Overeem is very much - like Brock - a genetic freak who is able to pack on dense muscle very easily.

 

Lesnar....But Overeem probably has more power behind his kicks & punches. ...

 

I think Overeem vs Brock would be an interesting match as Overeem has sick striking but is big enough to not be bullied by Brock.

 

Overeem would KO Brock. Seriously he'd wipe the floor with him. Even on from guard or mount Overeem is no slouch at all. Brock would eat some serious leather and get KO'ed within a round. JDS would do the same as well.

 

Brock really just doesn't know how to strike. He's like a lost puppy when the combinations start coming at him. Not quite as invincible as I would've thought, at least until he gets his standup working.
