Taylor/Chavez had some time still on the clock, 5 seconds, it's not the same thing

Wow... the pole results are closer than expected but still pretty decisive!

Because it is unclear, I voted yes in the poll, because your poll was : "Was he KO'ed". So yes he was KOed, but that is irrevelant because in the curcomstances he won, he only had to get on his feet and beat the count, was he capable of continuing, no, does this matter no, because there were no time left on the clock

The ref was corrupt. Only a blind or a fan of Bute can not see it.

No. He got up within 10 seconds, and the 3 minutes were up. Therefore, a stoppage would've been just about the dumbest **** that the ref could do.

Not being saved by the bell means that you still have to get up if you go down and there's less than 10 seconds left in the round. That's exactly what happened to Bute and he got up. So how ****ing dumb would it be to stop the fight.

Not at all Bute was on his feet at like 7 or 8 so how is that counted out Librado left the corner but it didnt matter

Tunney could have got up but knew Dempsey left the corner halting the count

Bute was up before 10 respoonded to the refs signals no controversy just Andrade pissed cause he came so close and an anti bute attitude

can't believe 58% voted yes. I'm assuming most of these people didn't actually see the fight.

The guy goes down with less than 10 seconds left in the final round. He gets up within 8 seconds. The round is already over. He wasn't saved by the bell because he got up within 10 seconds.

Obviously, Bute won the fight. If he had taken more than 10 seconds to get up, then yea, you could say he deserved to be counted out.

JCC had a referee literally in the pocket, his promoter to be exact and Steele was proven to be on the side of Don King fighters MANY times, Tyson vs Ruddock 1 is the first popular example. That's why Taylor didn't get a chance.

If he had still been on the ground and it wasn't called a KO, THAT's saved by the bell. He was on his feet, and that's all that was needed. Once he's on his feet, stopping the fight is at the discretion of the referee, and since the fight was already over, there was nothing to stop.

People seriously misunderstand what "saved by the bell" means.

Apparently we have at least 72 posters who do not know that the ref is supposed to stop counting at 8 if a fighter gets up before that!
