now this aint a hate thread against mayweather

going into the fight, i thought if mosley was to win he would need to ko floyd early as floyd adapts well and is capable of outboxing shane

looking at shanes previous fights, he usually comes out an thows combos from 1st bell to make a statement

even in losing fights, against winky he threw a 7 punch combo in like first 30 secs

against floyd he threw a few meaningless jabs and fell over

then shane hurt him, now shane has been a devasting finisher from what ive seen

now although i thought the larger gloves would help money may, never did i think they would redure shane to being gassed at end of round 2

even when floyd was hurt, he just put up his gloves, and shane looked like he had no idea what to do

he lashed in some decent punches but then when ever floyd went to the ropes he did nothing

shane looked like a dead man after 5 rounds and floyd walking him down just added to the embarrassment

no way is floyd walking down shane, no welterweigt is when shane is right

i put this mainly down to being 39, inactive fighting wise and having 2 back to back training camps wiv no top level sparring

obviously shane aint gunna say tis cuz he only eva blames himself

cant take nothing away from floyd, he won the fight by being much better prepared

but shane was desperate for a fight and oney and took the fight without anytime to let his body relax and then get back into training

i dont think he overtrained, alot of you so called armchair know alls have been saying this for ever, shane been fighting nearly 30 years and ha been in some preety big fights and has a world class trainer who knows how to train and how much they should be putting in their workouts.

    overtraining was not the factor

i tell you what happened, the big occasion got to him before the fight, he wasnt scared of floyd but even though he fought before it was a big occasion, undefeated fighter who he had a big chance to beat, biggest payday of his career, and possibly the 24/7 dilemma. these are all factors

he punched floyd with that awesome punch and nearly ktfo the best fighter of the last ten years. when this happend he got too ecited and panicked and wasnt thinking properly, this sapped his stamina

so when floyd came back and was hitting him accurately dnpping his head back, whih i have never seen happen to shane he didnt want to open up because he panicked by getting countered.

from taking the precise punches and the above factori have jut mentioned it tired him and rendered him uneffective and uninspired

No he didn't over train, just got out smarted by Mayweather. Just like the rest of Mayweather opponents. Mayweather adjusted, and it was a rap. I said this from the get go, Mosley doesn't adjust after game plan A fails. It's his biggest weakness in boxing. It showed in the Forrest fight twice, and in the Winky fight twice.

  6. How the **** did he nearly knock out Manny Pacquiao by punching Floyd Mayweather? :huh

poeple are taking this out of context

he hurt floyd but was neva near koing him after that

    he threw **** all

even if the event got to him, which 2bh it probably did, mentally he seemed **** before the fight, almost knowing training was getting worse and worse leading up to the fight

he didnt even deny getting beat up in sparring when asked

Naaaa... He still fought the wrong fight.
He tried to match speed & counter punch with a younger fighter.
    (Should have went balls out!)

That would have ruined the mega fight between floyd and manny, hence... knocked manny pac out of a bajillion dollars.

Don't think so. More likely the case that he just got outfought by a better fighter.
