Wlad is too stiff and one dimensional to beat a prime Tyson.

I'm a huge "Iron" Mike fan, and I would like to think that lil Tyson would smash on all of these big guys. Like Mike said after the Lewis fight that Lewis was to big and that he would have never beat him. I think that the same would be true if he were to fight Wlad. I think that he would be on the end of the jab for most of the fight, and everytime he did get inside Wlad would clinch and lean on him til he tires his legs out. Tyson would lose his movement then the right would land at will and it would look a lot like the Lewis fight with Tyson getting dropped and choosing not to continue.

If anyone needs to know inside fighting by Tyson, check out his fights against Frank Bruno.

Tyson would beat the crap out of klitschko. In fact the fight would be over before it began. Wlad would **** himself.

Honestly, it wouldn't be a stretch to say the Tyson that lost to Lewis beats Wlad.

We're talking about the same guy that got clubbed down by a slow motion, don't move at all, wide swinging Sam Peter.

The Tyson that fought Lewis was clearly past his best, as you can see he is standing straight up, doesn't have the quickness and elusiveness he did before prison, and appears to sucking wind as soon as the first round, but he still moved enough to force Lewis into a fight in several occasions.

Wlad has three punches. He has a jab, a straight, and a long to mid range left hook.

Wlad has only one option for Tyson as he gets inside, and that is to tie him up, but this is not enough to win against Tyson. If you want to prevent Tyson from getting underneath your punches, you need to have something in your arsenal to prevent this.

It is called an uppercut. And if you want to hit Tyson coming in with your jab, as tall as Klitschko is, he has to have better mobility from the waist or he will be countered all night.

Fact is, Klitschko is very muscle bound and relatively stiff, and has no uppercut. Tyson will repeatedly duck his jab, get inside, and deliver big punches that will catch the chinless giant off balance, and eventually knock him down and out.

He won't be able to simply hold on to Tyson and expect to win, a prime Tyson still managed to get shots off while he was inside, especially to the body, which rendered his opposition impotent. This is why Tyson had so much success with taller fighters.

Wlad is a good fighter, but people are completely overestimating him. In fact, I would wager Vitali would beat the **** outta him.

Vlad would knock Tyson out period. Tyson has very little chance to beat Vitali or Vlad. Haters are so upset that they make up crap about Klitschkos. They are too big and skilled for Tyson period. Now, Klitschkos will continue beating all the damned hater's heroes in all divisions. Ward has zero chance to beat Klitschkos, Dawson has not chance, no heavyweight has any chance, Haye is running like a scared rabbit. Klitschkos will beat Void and all fighters in all divisions! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Grab'n lean won the fight for Lennox, it would win the fight for Wlad.

You make it sound like any special skill of Lennox' won him the fight. Nothing could be further from the truth. The systematic tiring of Tyson in the earlier rounds closed the show and won Lennox the fight, not a specific defensive skill or punch.

As long as Wlad is trained by Steward for a Tyson fight he'd win with ease.

Steward was the guy who devised the dirty grabbing technique for Lennox against Tyson. Note how Lewis fought a completely different fight against Iron Mike than against David Tua. He skillfully outboxed and outmaneuvered Tua, whereas he took Iron Mike into a dirty grab'n lean street fight. This was no coincidence. Steward figured out two completely different game plans for both fighters.

The title of the thread says prime Tyson, I don't see how the Lewis fight has any bearing at all.
I like Lewis a lot more than Tyson but my opinion is that prime for prime Tyson would knock him out. Wlad is basically a not as good rehash of Lewis since he hooked up with Steward. Tyson would muller him.

There's no need to even argue this or discuss. Anyone who believes Wlad or Vitali would beat a prime Tyson is ****ing stupid , period.

Please get busy inventing a time machine, so this profound statement can be confirmed empirically...

Agreed. But the same goes for those who believe otherwise.

A prime Tyson would be way too agressive for WALDO, who probably wouldn't see the end of the second round.

There is no way that Wlad would beat a prime Tyson. Tyson was a monster back in his days and he was as good defensively as he was in his offense. The problem for Wlad simply is, that he cannot win in a war, as he does not have the ability to take punishment without kissing the floor. Look at his opposition, best imitations of Tyson were Brewster (in the first fight, in the second everyone will agree that Brewster was´nt the same) and Peter and they both were able to trouble Wlad. Now compare them to prime Tyson. Tyson was way faster, much better defense, much more power. He would´ve found a way to get inside Wlad and then Wlad would´nt stand a chance. That´s obvious.

Wlad would cripple and turn to ash at the staredown.
