Yea irrelevent because you dumbass' are annointing 5-1 and 12-1 and 11-1 fighters the greatest and better now then a 31-2 fighter ever was! You're idiots.
You seem to think Ratings are permanent; nobody is saying these guys are surpassing him in an all time great status. But the fact that Fedor beat some very good fighters a decade ago really has no bearing on his ranking as a current fighter. You cannot rest on past achievements in a current ranking.
Exactly! - what happened to ESB - where did all these people suddenly come from that equate a WWE wrestler with a 5-1 record as being the new best thing against someone like fedor - its astounding, seriously even if fedor's record was 5-1, I would rate him higher than lesnar. Just look at his fights they speak for themselves i seriously feel its like comparing roy jones junior to butter bean - ok maybe a bit far but seriously.
His fights in pride, a long time ago. Time doesn't stop, you can't continually give the same weight to extremely old performances in ratings based on current form.
I do appreciate the irony in your statement. As for the Fedor and Lesnar comparisons - Fedor's ranking was based on beating top fighters over five years ago. Those same fighters have been beaten and dismantled by the current top fighters in the UFC. Fedor has not fought a top five fighter since August 2005. It's time to face facts. One can make light of Lesnar's limited number of fights - but that doesn't preclude the fact that he is the man who beat the man and is the current UFC champion and number one heavyweight in the world. Fedor will most likely remain the greatest mixed martial artist of all time - but he is not the top heavyweight fighter at the present. If he wants to be considered as such then he needs to fight the best in the world - not the castoffs.
Actually Fedor fought 4 top tens in a row.......two of whom where ex UFC HW champions, Brett Rogers was undefeated. I would actually rate Rogers as having a far better boxing game than Lesnar and far better Cardio than Carwin. No other current top UFC has had 4 top tens in a row. Heck Brock has only ever had 2 TOP TEN fights in his whole career - Mir (second fight) and Carwin (Herring and Randy were unranked).
There is no defending Brett Rogers as a legit opponent, none, at all. A "better boxing game"? A) no he doesn't, Carwin would flatten him B) who the **** cares, its not boxing, and all of his game is entirely dependent on standing up and throwing haymakers. Against any legitimate heavyweight Brett Rogers is going to get raped.
