    We seen many a prospect come and go, some live up to there billing and go on to big things, some fade away within the blink of an eye. Some fighters come from nowhere and only the true hardcore fans know who they are and where they came from.

    Question is:
    When did you know that fighter was going to become a world champion. Name the fighter and the fight in which you knew they'd win a world title. Why did they make you a believer?? How many fights into there career did you know they'd be a world champion?

    Scott Harrison after he beat Tracey Patterson i thought this guys a beast at feather and looked like he got a bit about him as well as being tough he can box. That was in his 12th fight. I'd seen him one fight previous to that against Patrick Mullings.

    You can make predictions about fighters who you feel will go onto great things.

    the first time i seen him was against Zsolt Nagy at the york hall. it went the full 6 rounds but i remember correctly swifty had his man down twice in the first.

    this was also the same night chisora bit butlin's ear and was kevin mitchells comeback fight after hand surgery. it was headlined by cleverly Vs boyle so a pretty decent card for the york hall

    Haven't seen Smith fight. That's why i'm excited to see him against Simpson. Heard good things like what you said about him.

    Froch was another fighter i believed would make a world champion. 2nd fight i think it was. Already seen him in the World Am's and thought his power and awkward style would cause many opponents trouble. Didn't expect him to turn out to be such a war mongering nutcase but he got there and deserved it. Love being right :lol:

    Two immediately spring to mind;

    Seeing Amir Khan in the amatures and thinking "I've never seen anyone so fast". I was pretty convinced he could easily get to British level.

    Seeing David Haye, funnily enough, against Thompson in his defeat. It was only his 10th or 11th fight and so was obviously going to be beaten by the vastly more experienced Thompson. But the way he fought told me that he was good enough. My only concern was whether he'd come back the same from a defeat, he's obviously answered that question.

    I agree with you on that Scott Harrison fight. Paul Ingle vs Colin McMillan & Spencer Oliver vs Patrick Mullins were the nights for me aswell.

    Amir Khan v Gomez

    He was clearly hurt to the body but fought back with a blazing ten+ punch combo. I thought then that he had cahones and that he would go far

    Michael Katsidis vs Graham Earl

    Although he hasn't won a 'world' title yet, I knew the kid was gonna be good after this fight. Never heard of him beforehand, but he made me an instant fan after that fight.

    Amir Khan vs Gairy St Clair

    Clair, although stepping up in weight, was a decent opponent and the way Khan dominated made me feel it would be tough for anyone to beat the lad on points.

    This might seem obvious but when JuanMa Lopez smashed Ponce De Leon. JuanMa totally disregarded the champion's fearsome rep and went after him. I was blown away by that.
    Ever since I saw Gamboa make his pro debut too I knew he'd be a world champion. I genuinely think this fella can be a multi-weight champion and go on to be an all-time great. I think at present he's untouchable and I don't believe there is anyone out there who can beat him.

    On the UK side of things: Naz. Simple as that.

    :good Hadn't really heard of JuanMa before that fight but that performance made me a fan.

    Also Roman Gonzalez vs Niida. Gonzalez was an inexperienced 21 year old fighting away from home against a long-reigning champion. And he just went in there and smashed Niida.
