kharitonov is one mean mother****er with the mental fortitude and spiteful punching power to give most of the current heavies a good argument.i'd love to see an international heavyweight prizefighter night pitting this beast against the likes of audley harrison, chris arreola, eddie chambers, david tua and sam peter.boy there'd be some fireworks, and my money would go on the the russian paratrooper to be the last man standing in this battle of behemoths!

    Uhm, who would he mincemeat?

I'd say nobody in the top20.

he wouldn't beat the absolute elite, but i reckon he has decent enough boxing skills to mix it with most of the top 20 without mugging himself off.he also has a good chin and goes in there to wreak havoc, none of the ***** footing around displayed by the likes of harrison/chambers and others.plus he has the mental and physical strength to push the likes of peter and tua to the limits of their endurance.yes,i reckon he'd be a top 10 performer if he so chose...

8 red stripes and a day sittin on the balcony with jermaine and marlon smoking sweetly pungent cigarettes might have impaired my judgement a little...i'll sleep on it and let you know tomorrow...

Kharitonov won Silver at the Central Asian Games in 2003

Could have competed for Tajikistan at the 2004 Olympics but fought in the 2004 PRIDE HW Tourney instead.

After PRIDE folded he fought some Amateur Boxing fights, one of which against Robert Helenius who is currently a top HW prospect. Helenius is 11-0 now with wins over Brewster, Gammer, Bidenko, Oloukun

Agreed,he has a great chin too. I thouht he won vs Helenius but Helenius has improved a great deal since that fight.

He's chin is good but he takes too much punishment. He took some serious beatings vs Overeem and Fedor's brother in PRIDE. Still he's a very talented fighter who would probably make a decent journeyman in boxing. His style though is more suited for MMA.

nope.i stick to my original assertion.the mad paratrooper to hold his own with all but the very best in the division.he should change career direction and earn some serious dough fighting some of the fat losers purporting to be championship prospects.

He hasn't looked good in years, constantly injured, inactive and when he does fight he comes in fat.
