Agreed on JuanMa lads, fought little of him beforehand, but whilst aware of De Leons shortcomings I was also aware of his fight with Caba and his heavy hands. Lopez blitzed him, which funnily enough is pretty much what I'd expect Gamboa to do to JuanMa. The Niida fight made me stand up and take notice, but Gonzalezs management have forced me to become disinterested in him. So Im gonna go for Joyi-Condes. Joyi is a revalatuon, and will hammer Gonzalez is they ever meet IMO. I expect Joyi to move up and dominate light fly, Iron Boy or no f'n Iron Boy :bbb

Teddy Atlas told a story about this fight on FNF last week. He said about how McGuigan was making a name for himself and looking great and packing out Kings Hall. Well he was beating Laporte and like every last round fighters and fans and promoters get a bit worried that one punch could swing the fight. So Mickey Duff shouts to the time keeper ''ring da bell!'' timekeeper replies ''what? i can't do that mick'' Mickey replies ''ring da bell now!!! ring it'' timekeeper says ''mickey i can't do it'' Mickey ends up grabbing the bell and ringing it and bring the fight to a close. According to Atlas he was stood right next to Duff and it can be heard while watching the fight.

Well, the first Lennox Lewis fight I ever saw was when he fought Gary Mason in March '91. I was a Mason backer, I liked him. Wheras Lewis was an oddity, British by birth but sounding like an American...everyone knew about the Olympic gold medal but most felt it was a step up too quick. Lewis won in 7 and I thought he could be a genuine world title challenger. Less than two years later he held the WBC belt for the first time.

Obviously messin with that last 1 but Khan-Gomez as was mentioned before. I was impressed with the manner in which he came back from a lot of adversity. However, I would never have thought he would a light-welter champion considering how fragile his chin looked at lightweight
