2 defenses and has been Champ over a year and a half so the reign is already long.

 

Jim bob you didnt include his layoff through injury. Brocks had 1 fight a year since he won the title in 08. Thats hardly a long reign..

 

Carwin didn't hit him with a flush shot. But he's hit people with the same kind of shot in previous fights and it's been lights out. I still think it should have been stopped in the 1st. But Lesner proved he has a good chin.

 

You are right I shouldn't say "I" don't think Brock has a good chin, I should say the Brock doesn't think he has a good chin. He coward as soon as he was hit turn and ran for a place to hide, he just got lucky that Carwin didn't know how to finish it.

That elbow landed but wasn't a KO shot by any means. Other then that he landed MAYBE 3 other strikes in the 50 he threw.

 

lesnar took the punches that had stopped 12 other men from seeing the end of round one.....did i think he should have been stopped...at the time, yes....for me he wasnt intelligently defending himself, he turtled up and took a pounding like a schoolkid does from the shoolyard bully....he didnt intelligently defend so much as shut up shop and attempt damage limitation....i havent reviewed the fight yes, but on the night, that was my feeling.....

lesnar DID prove one thing to me though...kids got HEART...he took those punches, not his fault the ref didnt stop it, came out for round two and did the business....i think carwin should be hollering for a rematch but wonder if dana will let one of his main cash cows face the guy again....

one thin i cannot figure out is why the hell did carwin not stand up and stand back when lesnar was soooo obviously discombobulated.....had they stood up i feel sure he would have knocked out brock....

i think brock chin may actually be slightly above average for mma....he took the bombs...

 

a Pride era Crocop or today's Overeem would be nightmare fights for Brock.

Lesnar isn't very good, period. When he turned his back and ran like a girl before curling into the foetus position was absolutely pathetic. If the red-neck guy didn't gas after throwing 20 punches (pathetic) he would have lost KO1 and everyone here would be saying Lesnar was/is a coward and a fraud.

 

Lesnar is the Red Neck. Carwin is actually an Engineer or an Architect

 

Uhh whatever. They both showed zero skills in that fight, along with cowardice (Lesnar) and pathetic stamina (Carwin). That was not a good fight. You see better technique, stamina and guts in a bar fight.
