The Storm premiership was 1999, and the rematch score 70-10, Sally.

Can't remember a person in any sport ever managing to get both feet in their mouth more than Mundine did just prior to that 60 point thumping.

Playing the race card when he couldn't break into the Aussie side was pretty **** poor too.

Hard to say where Green would have ended up if Mundine hadn't been around.

Green certainly had the hunger and determination and willingness to travel to have a go on the world stage, and Lou Di Bella showed great interest in him, so who knows how far he would have gone if he hadn't gotten caught up in a local pissing match with Mundine.

Quite possibly he would have moved to LHW sooner, and made some noise on the world scene.

    All speculation though I'm afraid.

Anyone remember Mundine snr being up on assault charges because he followed a bloke into the toilets at Graham Park and thumped him, claiming said bloke had racially abused his son while he was on the field?

I believe it went to court but was dismissed - funny that.

Anyone else follows someone anywhere and thumps them, that's intended assault.

Tony Mundine does it and claims he was defending his son against racism and he gets away with it.

    I remember that.

Not only that but being a trained fighter the law shld've come down on him harder.

In response to where Green wld've been, i think a good comparison wld be Paul Briggs career, Danny may have made some noise overseas although he needed to step up to LHW quicker than he did with Mundine around.

How much more credibility would Australian Boxing now have had he stayed with Rugby,I do believe his latest Side Show antics and Dodging a World Title to Fight a low ranked Taxi Driver will almost finish Him.

I know quite a few once die hard fans who have had enough and are going to turn there back on Him,had to come I suppose even the most Die hard Fans would have to wake up one day.!!!

I am not bailing out. I still have great respect for The Man's achievements and I respect his career decisions. It's a business now.

Look at his Dad. Highly respected as a boxer. Penniless after his career is over. Mundine will still have a better boxing career than 99% of Aussie boxers and be better off financially than 100% of them. That is his choice and I will not bag him for that. If in the same boat I will probably take the same route.

    First highlight = PIGS ARSE!!!!!

Second highlight = PIGS ARSE. Mandy may have made $$$ in the game, but his true acheivements amount to a shot at the IBF title and an IBO M/W crown. Interim means nothing to no one.

He is not on the same shelf any many legendary fighters.

    Barely top 40.

Yeah but how long will you be around to keep this fact highlighted :hey

In 2 or 3 more generations Mundine Jnr will be along Mundine Snr and will stay that way into eternity :deal

He will also probably go down as Top 5 if not Top 1 Athlete this country has ever produced
