...study southpaws too? I'm thinking of studying things that southpaws do though I'm an orthodox fighter? Should I do that or is that going to mess me up?
I didn't know you boxed, are you an amateur? My trainer used to tell us to always do a round or 2 of shadowboxing the opposite way round so yeah, do that ****.
Ok. I'll try to get Dawson's fights and study them because he's one of the best technical fighters today(Not including Calderon because he may retire soon). Yeah I guess you can say I'm an amateur I do alot of preparation for a big tournament for Kansas City in August and go to my gym at least 3-times a week to get ready plus do some training at home such as shadowboxing aswell. My real name is Kraig Smith and I'm currently living in Laurel, MD. Wish me luck!
Of course you should, so you know how to fight them. Southpaws are suscepible to the straight right hand, everyone knows that, but pay close attention to how the footwork plays a big part in boxing them.
What lefthook said. Also keep in mind that the liver is a more presentable target in the southpaw stance.
Doing things with your opposit side may acatuly improve your motor skills on your natural side. Also being to fight well from both stantces would have to be an advantage.
Good luck Kraig, and Dawson is easily one of the best fighters in the world so yeah, study him, and on a sidenote, let's hope Dawson gets plenty of big fights asap.
I meant should I study and learn to fight like them but what you said is very good advice too. Thanks alot for the post! I appreciate it.
