Nobody treated Tua like a bum..thats very true! Tua always IMO showed up to fight and he could make a pretty ugly fight for Tyson.

Too bad we couldnt see this fight in the 90's! Would have been a war!:good

Tyson on points. Tua is a type of these fighters who never falls. Maybe Tyson by TKO (cuts).

Tyson should box in such fight, instead of punching, then he wins easily. Once he starts looking for KO, he may lose it.

    Tyson. Too fast.

Tua has a puncher's chance and a half though.

tyson will create opening and take advantage of the openings the Tua leaves. Tyson by late stoppage.

This would be an interesting fight...

Though I do think a peak Tyson was superior to Tua at his best.

Tua late IMO or possible tossup decision, if anyone thinks Tyson is blowing Tua away they are dreaming

Tyson was a more proficient boxer and would beat a wider variety of opponents, but put them head2head and Tua 1996-98 had heart and outstanding stamina and once he absorbed what Tyson had, he would definitely get to Tyson in the middle and late rounds

Tua had a good anticipation and defence against power shots, he just wasnt as good as Tyson at slipping a jab which wouldnt really be a problem fighting a slugger

Tyson could move and work hiss angles like the expert he was,,,,but he aint got that kind of power that is Needed to stop Tua. Interesting to note that both were the same height and how would that affect the outcome??

I cant say who would of won,but i can see Tyson going down before Tua ever would:rasta

    Tyson

    More defence
    More movement
    More speed
    Better footwork
    More skill
    Big power in both hands

    Just better in everything.

heart says tua, head is unsure

its not just who tua beat, its how he beat them, and how good he was at his best. think about the kind of opponent tyson would be best against. tua is the opposite of that. i think tyson would be scared, but he would still probably fight his ass off. i can't pick a winner really. it would be an amazing fight

Tyson hits just as hard but much quicker, in better combinations, with better defense, head movement and footwork. Iron Mike deserves his reputation. In his day he was a goddam monster. Nobody's a lock to beat him, and the only HW's I rank above him are Liston and Ali.

That's not to downgrade Tua. There are a lot of 'great' champions I think a prime Tua would destroy, it's just that Tyson isn't one of them. A prime Ibeabuchi as well, in fact. Ike and Tua took a lot out of each other.

Tysons a greater heavyweight no doubt, definitely better against tall fighters, but put them in a ring together and things are different IMO
