Froch would lose against Pascal if he fought him today. He was lucky to fight him when he was still green. Intelligent move. If Dirrell had fought him the way he fought Abraham, Froch would have looked even worse. Because that's the important point: Froch has looked awful in his two last fights. Huh? You know what I won't say that Froch will beat Bute cause Bute probably should be favorite to win. But you guys are getting out of hand posting pictures of a half blocked bodypunch like it is something special. Yes Froch looks awful, but so does his opponents. Hes unorthodox, but he'll give anyone at SMW the fight of their lives. Dirrel should not fight Froch the way he fought Abraham if they where to fight again. Kessler fought Froch the way he was supposed to by backing him up, using more lateral movement than he usually does (which looked pretty darn uncomfortable for Kessler), backing Froch up and going to the body consistently. He looked **** while doing it and only won by two or three rounds with many a close round. Yes Bute would be favorite against Froch, but don't feel to comfortable about him winning. No Bute haven't faced the level of opposition that Froch, Kessler, Dirrel and Ward has. Bute is technically more sound than Dirrel, but not as fast and not as athletically gifted. Bute looks like a killer against weaker opposistion. I reserve judgement on his power untill I see him in the ring with a legitimate opponent. You act like Bute would steamroll any SMW in the world right now when any fight between Ward, Dirrel, Kessler, Froch, Abraham and Bute in reality would be really hard to call.
Although I am canadian I am a boxing fan too and Bute is not no 1 - yet. Kessler was ahead of bute before the SS. Now kessler lost to ward who is much better than anyone bute has met. So I don't think bute has passed kessler just because he hasn't met anyone of that level. So I have ward and kessler ahead of lucien. Froch also has a good claim imo with far better wins than what bute has.
:good I'm no hater. I just feel like pulling in the opposite direction when a fighter is heralded as the next coming. It pisses me of when posters have arguments that basically boils down to I think Bute's cool that's why he'll win. The thing is you can't really generalize from one fight to another. You need to look at both the quality of the fighters involved and their traits and abillities. Maybe Bute will dominate. I honestly don't know, but hopefully we'll find out.
