Because a powerlifter built is solely for those type of lifts and doesn't have extra muscles in other areas like bodybuilders do. Bodybuilders have a very well rounded built, meaning they are pretty evenly built everywhere but not focused on just three type of lifts. Let me take an example from some people that I go to the gym with. Person A focus most of his time on benching, deadlifts, and squats. Person B focus on a completely body workout. Person B is heavier than person A. Person A can do heavier 'core' lifts so most thinks he is stronger, while person B can do many of other various weight training better than person A but all those doesn't count as strength since it isn't extreme weights like 'core' lifts. Different people just have different builts, different strengths and weaknesses. Brock is built for tackling and wrestling, Overeem is built for striking and grappling. Most would consider Brock as stronger though, since strengths is usually determined by heaviest lifts. Edit: by the way it is not all about strengths when it comes to lifts either, techniques plays a decent part.
Why do you keep posting this shite? Why dont you post Overeems beatdown of Kharitonov in their first fight when Kharitonov ate a gazillion knee's to his grill.
montaroCountry said that since he's moved up to HW, Overeem's dominated everyone, completely ignoring the fact that he got smashed up by Kharitonov.
Looks more like Overeem thinking that the round was over........look at all his other fights when the ref breaks up the fighters, he does this little jogging thing. Notice that Overeem quickly looks at the ref for instructions. A misunderstanding it totally different from flat out running away from punches like Brock.
The one where he seperated his shoulder? Fair play for the throw, but not very likely to happen often. I show it to shut the idiots saying "oh Brock ran from punches, he's a joke" When in reality Brock got hit much harder than Overeem did, recovered, and won, Overeem got knocked senseless. How about what happened when Overeem got put on the ground by a good grappler, with worse takedowns that Brock to be sure. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sR2x_8gQpfw[/ame]
Exactly, one earlier fight where Kharitanov got injured doesn't erase the fact that he beat the **** out of Overeem, forcing him to run away in route to getting knocked six kinds of out.
Dude Brock actual turned and RAN and flopped on the ground covering his face like a child. Overeem got PUNCHED to the floor, very different. Overeem didn't dropped for no reason. Brock flopped because he didn't want to stand up to the punches anymore. Very different in my eyes.
Overeems strength is more balanced through out his body while Brock is top heavy. I think Overeem has the more useful strength in an mma match
Brock is VERY top heavy. He's legs are like sticks in comparison. Never fear soon as he tastes one of Overeems legs which are like baseball bats he'd know what hit him.
Um, did you notice which direction he was facing and which direction he was moving when he got punched to the floor? He got hit, ran, got hit again and got KO'd. Brock got hit, ran, recovered eventually and won. Difference between a champion and Overeem.
