I cant stand Burt Sugar!!

To his credit he is one of the most fun loving and down to earth boxing celebrities I've ever met. I always thought he came off like a ***** on TV too, but it is not the case at all.

 

he is a character, but it's an act. he has played the same old man sketch for years. he makes boxing easy for non boxing fans.

 

I guess you could say he's the character we most love to hate after Cosell left this world.

 

Bert Sugar was/is a massive asset to the sport.

The casual mainstream (40+) know him and recognize him.

Sure us hardcore marks think him beneath us, but his views are a damn sight more mainstream than our crazy pretentious views on this forum.

 

Had to chase Sugar for years to collect a debt for bogus boxing videos.

 

Yes, burt had been known to stiff over people in the past, talk to
tony paige, however he is a good dude and a great boxing character who is good for the sport.

 

He needs to;

Stop telling irritating made up stories.

Actually smoke one of those cigars once in a while.

Get his teeth whitened.

 

Bert and Cosell are both people that I happen to like as people despite them driving me nuts professionally. I've learned to like them, they're part of "the family" to me because they're part of boxing. They're basically like two goofy uncles or cousins to me.
