There's quite a difference between the two. Brock is massive just like the strongest man in the world. That makes him rather slow, but strong on the ground.
Overeem is a much better athlete; much faster, explosive, better standup, better technique, ...

what does it matter how strong they are...pudz showed it matters not a jot...bob sap probably lifts more weight than either man but again, what does that prove.....both would probably outlift fedor, but, even after his recent defeat, id take fedor to beat EITHER......

with regards lesnars running away..he did..he had never been hit like that and now KNOWS what its like....its not his fault the ref didnt stop the fight..i cant see for the life of me how cowering under a ground and pound signifies intelligently defending oneself, but, by hook or by crook, he got out of the round and stopped carwin who had essentially shot his bolt...unprofessional.....end of story....personally due to the nature of the defeat i think he owes carwin a rematch and i doubt shane wouldmake the same mistake twice....lesnar however gained m repsect in this fight...

Brock ran a 4.75 40; he is anything but slow.

    10 foot broad jump.

    35 inch vertical.

He nearly made it to the top level of a highly competitive sport that he hadn't played in years.

Brock is more athletic in any real sense of the word, regardless of who you think is a better fighter.

Jesus another dumb post. Just to add to Beebs point of not making the Vikings. Word is that Brock was being his bunghole self throughout the whole camp and a big part of him getting cut.

Seeing as thought everybody ignored my last post, here's a video of Overeem deadlifting 660lbs.

    You have a point.

The thing is he didn't make the team due to lack of skill, in terms of athleticism he was well above average for an elite NFL player.

He was told to go to NFL Europe to get his skills back, because he hadn't played since high school. If he could have developed the skills he was a huge prospect.

It was strictly a technique issue, he was one of the most athletic members on the team. His numbers are unreal for such a big guy.

    This is correct.

I remember reading where the concern was his lack of technique. Someone was even quoted as saying that in some ways Lesnar was worse than a high school senior, because at least a senior would have played within the year. He went on to say that there were too many guys with knowledge of the game, that were slightly lesser athletes than Lesnar, to pass over on a chance that Lesnar could develop into a good player.
