http://espn.go.com/sports/boxing/blog/_/name/rafael_dan/id/5363601/haye-all-bark-no-bite Read the full article at the url above: Ducker David Haye is a joke at this point. I mean, how can you possibly take him seriously? He vigorously called out Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko for about the past two years with some of the most childish antics I've ever seen. The brothers have always been willing to fight him and have legitimately offered to fight him at least three times. (You know, it might even be more. I may have lost count.) Each time Haye ran way, including once just a couple of weeks before a fight with Wladimir had already been scheduled. Even after Wladimir went on his own recent media campaign and returned fire at him, essentially daring/begging Haye to fight him, he punked again.
Let's see who here is still claiming that "Rafael was lying when he said that 50/50 no options was offered". Where are all those loudmouths?
Why can't Rafael count to four? Anyway, the fact remains that if either Klitschko wanted the fight bad enough, they wouldn't have offered such poor deals. Can anyone remember a worse offer in boxing history than the three fight, no guarenteed money deal Haye accepted? Why did the Klitschko's both offer Haye less money than Valuev, despite that fight being much less interesting and making less money?
I'd love to see Rafael interview Haye. Obviously he's a sycophant but if he did try any of these smart comments with Haye, the fat ***** would get owned.
Haye hadn't fought a top 20 HW Nobody forced him to sign. He could have just did, what everybody else dows, which is fight your way to the top. + Don KIng and Sauerland own a huge part of his future purses now ... Now Wlad is offering him 50:50, while Haye has never fought a top 10 HW in his life + has a paper belt + is totally unkown everywhere in the world except for Britain => that's a great deal
So? It was still a terrible offer back then. Absolutely atrocious, undefendable offer. Sure, Haye hadn't beaten anyone at heavy but it was the fight everyone was interested in, so why wasn't he given a fair cut? It's not like anyone thought he wasn't a top heavyweight, even if he was unproven. And they don't own much. King's influence is minimal. It's not a great deal because Haye would be taking less of a cut. Why should he? He brings all the money from the UK, Wlad brings all the money from Germany, so they should keep that. It's unfair for Wlad to want 50:50 and, even if he feels he's worth it, if he wants Haye as bad as he says, why is multi-millionaire Wlad stopping the fight from happening, for the sake of thousands? That's if he wants Haye as bad as he says...pretty big if.
Jack, are you out of your mind? Haye doesn't deserve 50/50, he's an idiot not to take it. Who is he going to fight if not Wlad? Seriously?
50:50 is unfair? HAHA Wlad is way more well known than Haye everywhere except for Britain, so why does Haye deserve 50:50 anywhere else? Btw how does it matter, that Wlad is rich? If Haye demands 70:30 in his favor next, Wlad should just acceot, because he has enough money already?
