Where are you getting this from? I have asked this multiple times on this forum and to my knowledge have never have received a reply. Do we have a source/article for this or is this just an educated guess?

Correct, Haye said 50-50 on everything was fine 10 weeks ago, then changes his tune and suddenly argues that he wants 100% of UK TV money. That's exactly how it played out.

The behavior of changing demands is indicative of somebody who is not interested in getting a deal done, no matter what. At least not right now.

So some more bull**** mentioned on UK media.
Like it was also mentioned 50/50 wasn't offered.

You have lost all credibility. You stubbornly keep on making up nonsense like the "press ban" and "other contractual conditions" in a pathetic attempt to save face.

    Really now? From http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Purse

    Boxrec Boxing Encyclopaedia
Purse "The money that is paid to the two professional boxers who engage in a bout."

Haye and Booth proclaimed they wanted 50% of all the money that is paid to both fighters. That includes all the global TV money (UK, Germany, US, International), live gate, merchandising, sponsoring and God knows what. They wanted 50% of all the money that the fight would generate world-wide. That means each fighter would get exactly the same money, down to the penny.

That's exactly - unless Finkel was lying - what they were offered and then Booth/Haye changed their tune and said "Oh wait a second, we changed our mind. We now want more than 50% of the total purse, let's not forget that David is a superstar in the UK!!!!".

That's how it unfolded, like it or not.

Got a youtube link maybe? Maybe a link to archived radio show? Surely there must be some! Right?

Oh wait, so really there's no source, not a single one?

Whenever I ask for sources for some of the more outlandish Haye defender claims I get the reply "it was on a radio show, sorry there's no archive or any record of it". Things that make you go :think

That is exactly how it appears. Now, not being privvy to the whole process, I couldn't swear this is what happened. But it damn well looks like it.

50/50 to is far too generous to Haye. He should be grateful for 40% and the chance to become king of the division.

From all I can tell Haye got the chance to fulfill his dream of (damn near) unifying the division, holding the IBF/WBO/WBA belt in his hands after just three fights at HW.

Quite telling that this immaterial prize is not as attractive (to him) than cold hard cash in the bank after 50/50 of total revenues with no options (according to Finkel) was on the table.

How would a young Ali have reacted? Or a young Lennox Lewis if he was challenged by the recognized champ of the division? What about Evander Holyfield? Would they have go into hiding, stayed silent and then start talk about UK TV money and non-sense like that? When Lennox fought Holyfield for the unified title (1st fight) I think he got 33% of the total revenues, while Holyfield collected 66%. That shows the heart and class of Lewis. He was in it for the glory, not just the cash. At least in the 90s.

According to Adam Booth the reason the deal didn't happen is because the Klitsckos refused to explore a way of having a more lucrative TV deal in Germany, therefore they failed to maximise the profit that could be made from the fight.

Wlad is as bad as Haye. Seems Neither want the fight.

What fight? Haye's way too busy opening supermarkets and having gardens named after him... But wait till his mandatory defense deadline comes up - he'll get sick or pregnant or whatever.... I just don't remember such a shameful dickhead in the division which David "The Garden of Excuses" Haye is...

Another, fresh spin of yours.... You're getting good at it. I think you should apply for a PR position at Hayemaker Promotions, they would be happy to employ a bullshitter of your caliber....

It is contractually impossible for them to do so.

If Booth has made the deal hinge on something that is impossible, then he is trying to avoid the fight.

So, not only does Haye want more than 50% of the earning, he wants the impossible too.

How can you defend this? You aren't a boxing fan. You are a Haye fan. No boxing fan would stand for this crap.
