If Haye and Booth told you to jump out the window with a rubber dick in your hand and yell "look motherf**ker I'm superman" I certainly would do it...how about you?

You don't know it's cause of that. Sauerland have a tiny stake in Haye, they can't dictate terms of the promotion. Because they get a cut one way or the other, it's in their interest for Haye to fight for as much money as possible.

You expect Haye, however, to be dictated to by the deal the brothers agreed with RTL? And I don't see how this is an issue.

Why are the brothers so interested in half of the Sky PPV money? Because Haye made something like £5m ($7.5m) against Valuev and the brothers will make a $3.5m (around £2m) flat fee on RTL. So they want a cut.

How is that fair when, if they were to feature as PPV on Sky on their own, they'd be lucky to make £15?

OK, but why is he asking for 50% on international revenues when his popularity is clearly no match with Wlad's?

I am really disappointed that Haye - Vitali is off the table now, unless a miracle happens. Vitali most certainly will retire end of this year/early next year and with Sauerland/TV rights and the Booth money antics a fight between the two looks highly unlikely.

Oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Is it not? Last I checked, HBO won't feature the Klits without Haye. Popular?

hhhhmm if klits offer was fair (as it seems to be) why didnt hayes team just accept the fair offer and take his dream fight?? Why cause all this problem if the offer is good and the fight is what they want??

Works the other way around too. HBO wants them both. And why the hell Haye wants 50% of TV revenues from Ukraine and Russia? This is laughable...

Why is the money being discussed now? Haye gets enough money with the 50% split, thats what he wanted a fair deal, hell we all thought Haye would fight for nothing on the escalator of the charity event, and now we have this desaster and people are still defending him!?

No that is incorrect. Wilfried Sauerland said they own options on Haye's next 3 fights (including Ruiz). To anyone that knows Sauerland that means they will not agree to any promotion where their options on the WBA belt is at risk -- which would be the case in a no-options unification fight. Sauerland successfully blocked all attemps of the Klitschkos to get a unfiication with Valuev going in 2007. The issue was the same as back then: TV station contracts and options. I posted a link above.

I fear Haye will only have more freedom once he worked off the remaining two options -- unfortunately Vitali will be 40 years old and retired by then.

If i were klit and ring champ with belts etc etc offering 50/50 to a guy just in the door is amazingly generous imo and is not the norm but now its still not fair?? Its a strange situation im not surprised with haye, i think hes like that, unless there is more to it we dont know but will come out, klits are there to fight for big money for haye with good contracts, thats the bottom line, or sorry should i say were there but you cant wait too long in this game, they waited a lot longer than was needed, it was pretty obvious nothing was coming from hayes side

They are defending him because they don't want him to fight Wlad. It will be the end of this Haye-carnival and they want it to go on no matter what...

Vitali made around 20$ million against Sosnowski. The only reason Haye got that offer of 50/50 is because Wlad really wants to fight him.

Haye may have gotten popular in Britain by yapping about the Klitschkos and stalking them but no one in the rest of the world knows who he is.

Well folks, let's stop bashing our heads in. The sad truth is that the fights won't happen now and won't happen for the foreseeable future. Too bad really. Time to move on.
