    WOW,you gave ruiz 4 rounds?

on the matter of the thread..ali was one tough SOB and probably would of had too much grit for jones.i say ali stops him between 7-10...but i do give jones a real chance of taking it on points, due to his speed.

Jones only had one fight at heavyweight, but considering how he dominated the heavyweight champion he looked better than Ali. I'd go with Jones if he could fight like he did against Ruiz. If he were even younger it would favor Jones more, and prime for prime it definitely favors Jones on speed and reflexes alone.

Ali was good but his defense wasn't good enough to avoid being hit.

Not prime for prime. Ali wasn't that fast. Ali's chance would be a knockout, thats the only way he could win and if it's a prime Jones I don't see how he could land the KO.

Watch Jones vs Ruiz again, thats Jones in his 30s and then watch Ali in his 30s and tell me who would win.

Ali early KO....Jones never had a good chin, Ali would laugh if Jones hit him. Ali wasn't fast? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2YCU2tAFt8[/ame]

If you are serious then you need to be banned. Ali is the best heavyweight of all tme and you think Roy Jones who fought at heavyweight once (?) could beat him.

Ali isn't the greatest heavyweight to ever live. Holyfield is greater, won the title more times, beat better competition (guys much bigger than him), fought for longer (is still fighting and still beating some decent fighters), there is no way Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time.

I honestly think Holyfield prime would have knocked Ali out. I think Tyson prime would have taken Ali for 12 rounds and probably lose a majority decision. I think Bowe and Lewis would have probably knocked Ali out. Ali was not a big heavyweight and the reason I say Holyfield would have knocked Ali out is because Holyfield literally beat the crap out of Foreman, Bowe, Tyson, Douglas, Mercer, and many others without even being hurt by then in most rounds.

Ali's chin would not have held up against Holyfield in a war and Ali would be knocked out. Don't say it wouldn't happen.

Not everybody agrees with you that Ali is the best or greatest heavyweight of all time. I personally believe Holyfield was the best of all time so you should be banned for disagreeing with me.

It's not fair to compare Ali to Jones because Jones isn't even a heavyweight. A better fight would be Ali against Holyfield.

If you think Holyfield beat better competition than Ali and that Ali would have been KO'd by Holyfield you know nothing about boxing. I challenge you open a thread and find me one other person who actually agrees with the crap you just said.

youre right..its not fair..hell its EVEN MORE unfair to mention the 1967 version of Ali..i think the fat, flat footed version that kicked the crap out of foreman wouldve wasted jones...infact EVERY version of Ali [as long as hes not THAT passed it] wouldve toyed with poor roy..

Ali Vs prime Evander wouldve been a treat to see..holyfield was awesome
