Actually, it would depend on the Puerto Rico Boxing Commission (or any other state commission where Margarito applies). Like Dan Rafael pointed out, usually when one commission makes a ruling, the other commissions tend to follow suit. But that's not always the case, such as Mike Tyson being denied a Nevada license to fight Lennox Lewis, but granted one in Tennessee.

In last months Ring Magazine they said the CSAC is now chaired by a fromer amateur fighter by the name of Frierson. His comments make me think Margo is in for a long wait if he wants to fight in the US again.

"I've worn wraps. You know if something is in your glove. You feel it"

Asked if Marg's lawyers contention was accurate (that it was all Capetillo's fault and poor Tony was just an innocent victim ...

"That's not true. If he comes back and says 'Yeah, I'm sorry this happened' I'm sure we would let him go on no problem. But he's still talking that crap and we're not going to take that. We're not going to be insulted as a commission."

The same article says that the Attorney General's Office in Cali has evidence he loaded his gloves in the Cotto fight.

Sounds like he's ****ed - and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

The reason cause Tyson was the biggest draw in boxing history. Margarito is not close to the draw that Tyson is. Lewis vs Tyson was one of the biggest fight, biggest money in boxing. Margarito vs either Cotto rematch or Pacquiao won't come close to that.

Maybe if Margarito finally admit that he knew that he had those illegal handwrap, he might have got his license already.

This is all irrelevant. Fact of the matter is, the Puerto Rico Boxing Commission (or any other one) can grant Margarito a license to fight for any reason they choose. They don't have to adhere to rulings rendered by other commissions.

Thats exactly how I feel...At least be man enough to admit what you've done and then MAYBE, people would be more open minded about him returning.

Yep, this guy has no remorse. I hope NSAC have just set a precedent that other comissions will follow in this case. CSAC should not reinstate this ****er until he publicly apologizes for what he did. If they have evidence he was loading with Cotto, this should come out and it should result in a lifetime ban.

A tough situation when there is hard evidence to prove that California is as corrupt as they come when it comes to athletic commisions.

I certainly would not want a known corrupt commision to rule on my athletic future.
