Pac is better in all aspects in my opinion, he beats Hamed fairly easily.

i'm going with pac. he's got the footspeed to catch naz, he's got the WR to hit him, and the heart to war his way through hamed's athletic advantage.

nas could knock him out though, dude's punches cannot be ignored

People should be talking about the Pacquiao at featherweight, not now.

I think it would be one hard fight for the both of them and if Pacquiao didn't have a right gameplan for him, I'd see him getting beat.

Pacquaio would come straight at Hamed and get sparked for his troubles, Pac isn't a smart boxer with a tight defense and Hamed's power would be too much for him. Hamed is also a great counter puncher and you saw JMM counter Pac silly, now imagine him getting countered silly with KO blows

Well yeah, Pac definitely gets hit flush with many powerful shots, can he take them though and hit Hamed with plenty of fast punches in bunches that are hard to counter? I'm not really sure tbh

People often forget that for this fantasy match-up, we'd be pitting the Featherweight version of Manny Pacquiao against the British puncher, showmen. That is too say that he'd be vulnerable to counters. Despite this however, I find it hard to give Hamed the benefit of the doubt all things considered and would favor Manny by late stoppage.

Just because he's better, rather than on a styles match-up is that Addie?

Not to say that's definitely wrong, just curious.

He's a better fighter than Hamed and was even during 2003. That coupled with the fact I tend to think Hamed's punching power is overstated, who operated most effectively at his own pace. Manny Pacquiao will be difficult to time, and will be throwing many flurries at Hamed...who wasn't really elusive, despite the rumors. Could Hamed land a left hand and seriously hurt Manny Pacquiao? Yes, he has a punchers chance, but Manny has more ways to win.

Yeah, i hear most of that post, but Pacquiao wasn't all that versatile a featherweight Addie (just in response to your last part on Pac's many options)

if Naz catches him, its lights out
remember Naz hit like a middleweight and Manny is easy to hit...this spells trouble for Pac
The only person to beat Naz was Barrerra and even he wasnt foolish enough to let himself get caught, because he respected Nazs power, look at Barerras tight defence through out the fight.
I pick Naz by KO, or Manny By MD if it goes 12

Manny Pacquiao can win on points or by stoppage. The majority of offense will be coming from him, so even if he doesn't land the killer blow, you'd tend to think he'd be getting the better of most of the rounds. Hamed would go into lulls at times, and I think the pace the Filipino would set would just overwhelm him. I don't envision Pacquiao being sparked by a single shot either, he's shown to have a very impressive chin since he grew up from being a school boy.

Here's my thoughts. I definitely think Pacquiao is getting hit with powerful shots, whether they are counters or simply the result of him being in Hamed's punching range. Pacquiao doesn't have a great defece now and certainly didn't as a less composed featherweight. I don't think Pacquiao is getting blown out either, and the only way i see him winning is by virtue of the gulf in class showing, ie he starts to whirlwind on Hamed and Hamed starts to take a beating on the ropes round after round. If they were in the same class then Hamed would win because he would be punching his man at will, but i give Pac the a (big) chance because he is just a better fighter than his opponent here. I think Pac would start to get on top but after a few rounds and then dominate to a decision win.
