Impressive amature record of over a hundred wins and only 5 losses
but prof fights is a different story.

I'm leaning towards a bit of hype jop coz there is not much "W"s with BIG names to be really proud of. Acelino Freitas?! Julio Diaz in case you call those boxers great boxers?!

Who else are the big names in his accomplishments?!

He actually lost 3 of his last 5 fights?! If he losses again in his next fight I guess best thing to do is retire.

Yeah such a hype job

Only 26 and he has fought 6 people who have held belts in a row.

He doesn't appear to be the same fighter anymore, but he was actually beating Marquez before getting KTFO.

he has a very good resume at 135. awesome imo, considering he was only in his early 20's when he was lording it there. but i thought he was a little ovarrated when people back then thinks he would smash then pac and jmm if they moved-up at lightweight.

What about Katsidis? how you even looked at his record and didn't mention Kats is ******ed. Jose Miguel Cotto isn't a push over either.

Yeah he should just retire, losing to three world class fighters he really should take a good look at himself. Especially after that JMM fight not doing to shabby against someone who give Pac all he could handle.

    Agree!

He's not really a bad fighter but it seems he is more of a hypejob. Unless his fans can prove otherwise then I HAVE NO PROBLEM correcting myself and saying Yeah I'm wrong he's not a hypejob but actually a more than an ave boxer but short of a boxing star!

Meantime, I'm waiting for other names worth mentioning and putting him in the all time great list of his weight division.

Freddy i don't think this guy knows what a hype job is.

Diaz was a very good fighter no idea why the **** this nut is comparing him to the ATG at lightweight at only 26. He'll almost certainly never be an all time great but that doesn't make you a hype job. There is something in between called a good fighter.

    ok. Katsidis.
    class b+ fighter. no problem.
jose miguel cotto is not even worth mentioning.

so in summary winning over 3 big names such as freitas, julio diaz and katsidis makes him more than an ave boxer. Fine with me. A win over JMM would have turned around his career.

Winning over 3 so called big names does not put you on a great boxer level.

Would have... could have... winning in the earlier rounds does not count on boxrec. Too bad!

Diaz was/is a good fighter. Why is it one extreme to the other? Either he's **** or an ATG. FFS :patsch :patsch :patsch **** it I'm done, just a bunch of bull**** here.
