Tuas got an iron chin but a body made of dough

I think Tyson might just end Tuas night within the distance with repeated body shots, like in the Jesse Ferguson fight

This is a fight in which Tyson holds a lot of aces but due to the two fighters styles and attributes the fight would probably gel into a match which is a lot harder to call than most people will give credit.

I see Tyson by TKO6, Mike is a vastly more skillful puncher, elusive and hard to hit - unlike David - and will cleanly tag him with lightning fast, devastating combinations round after round as he consistently beats Tua to the punch. Also as he's facing an opponent around the same height as himself, Tyson will utilise his underrated shotgun jab often and at his best he could triple it up, Tua had big trouble with quality jabs. Plus it should be noted that the feather-fisted Chris Byrd hurt Tua's vulnerable body & that peak Tyson spent more time dealing out his debilitating body punches that going for the head.

Tysons stamina was worse, 12 rounds, not 3

i think tyson is a frontrunner and tua is more of a slow paced cruiser.. but if tyson starts getting in his grill it might end like tua vs ruiz

Prime Tyson did not go to the distance very much, but when he did he still held is own. Tua has gone the distance more then Tyson, which is one of the reasons why I pick Tyson over Tua. Not to many could go the distance with Tyson because of his superior punching power.

Yes but my point I guess is that when a prime Tyson went 12 rounds, he wasnt recieving a whole lot of return fire, which was by no means all down to Tyson's skills. I believe Ike was gamer than those fighters and possibly in better condition

Tua was famous as an highly touted contender in the late 90s for 2-way wars with some powerful opponents, the fights with Ibeabuchi and Izon literally set punchstat records.
This was a lot different to someone on their bike vs Tyson.

I concede the folks that think Tyson may give too many angles for Tua have a point, but given noone is likely to get sparked early, I cant see Tyson dominating the entire fight given Tua's better engine

Does it matter that Tua's chin is good?

Tyson does every thing better than him. Its all about hit and not be hit, who has the better speed, accuracy, defense? Its Tyson all the way.

tua couldnt even get a ****ing belt. He is so overrated, I know people love a guy with a good chin who can bang but if he was so great he would have atleast got a title. Tyson was the youngest ever to get a belt and was undisputed / unified champion. I think their accomplishments speak for themselves.

like the Tyson that got knocked out by Danny Williams and Kevin McBride right?

Prime for prime. If you had followed Tua's career you'd know that he was actually past his fairly short prime by the time he fought Lewis, not so much to do with Lewis, more the fact after the Gary Bell fight he lost the Duva/Shields/Bloodworth training combo, put on weight, and sat on his #1 ranking by fighting bums.

He became a plodder, from breaking world punchstat records vs Ike and Izon, he became the plodding 10 left hooks a round guy

Tua has a better chin. He took the same Lewis shots that destroyed Tyson. A far more resilient and durable fighter.

Tyson was gamer though to be fair, but Tua possibly does have a slightly better chin
