Cotto made the Manny fight happen... Cotto was already fighting outside of the ring with many issues in his private life. The Clottey fight gaved him a large cut and it was tough, he wasn't fully recover or heal. Aside with all the special demands from Manny and his team and this fight being rush, aside with issues. Cotto still made this fight happen. Not Manny, but Cotto who could have easily said I need more time to heal and fix some things before the fight.

    Berto barely got by collazo.

Why would he get to fight the #1 p4p fighter in the world?
Bradley has some cleaning up of 140 to do before he deserves the shot either.

He has a belt at 147!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is way more deserving than Clottey will ever be! Clottey got a fight with the p4p#2 so why can't Berto who has a 147lb Belt?

Berto will be killed. He was dropped by cosme rivera on FNF and barely got by collazo.

    He will not survive pac.
    He is not ready.

Don't get me wrong, id love to see all these other fights like Bradley, Williams, Martinez... But like a couple people have said, I think cotto should get a rematch. ****, didn't he just beat foreman, who isn't very good? but PAC avoided him? Come on I'm pretty damn sure he would improve dramatically in the rematch... I didn't say win.... But we would see more rounds in his favor, easily...

What does this have to do with him holding a belt @ 147 undefeated and is a young viable champion to fight Manny!

Like i said before what did Clottey do to deserve the shot at manny that you don't want to give Berto???

Cottoe ass aint ready either did you just watch that highlight video from that fight. It was sad the beating he was taking from Pac!

You're entitled to your opinion, but I don't think Cotto faired as badly as most other fighters did against pac.

Of course not. They wouldn't even fight him at 147lbs.

absolutely no interest in seeing Pac/Cotto 2 AT ALL!...let Cotto fight Mayweather if it falls through...Pac has no one left to fight but Floyd.

Don't forget Arum wouldn't make a Mayweather vs De La Hoya fight which went on to be the biggest fight money wise of all time.

Cotto Pac 2 stinks. Doesn't do anything for Pac's legacy if he wins. Pac at 54 is ridiculous. He will still beat the daylights out of Cotto, though, at this weight.

I'd much rather see Pac / Marquez at 40, 47 or somewhere in between if Marquez knocks out Juan Diaz again.

Margarito fight stinks because Margo doesn't deserve it. He is a cheater and unapologetic.

If Bradley / Alexander got made the winner of that would have been great. But Bradley chose Abregu which doesn't catapult him into an interesting opponent even if he wins.

I'd rather see Pac go to 140 honestly. He has to consume so much to get ready for these fights at 47, 40 is the best weight for him even Ariza knows this.

Pac Marquez at 140 is what they should do next. Pac will knock out Marquez and Marquez deserves this fight after two close wars, even though he lost they were close fights. A KO of Marquez, which is what would happen, is good for Pac's legacy.

Pac isn't going to beat Maravilla at 54.

Another fight is PW at 47 which seems ridiculous when you think of the size difference, however, if PW comes back to 47 and has a big win or two, maybe they can do this. Roach doesn't seem to be afraid of this fight. I am though. The sheer size and punch output of PW would seem to me to be a helluva lot for Pac to handle. Get him to the body? I don't know.

So there you have it for a September date:
    Best choice: Mayweather
Second: Marquez if he KO's Diaz or beats him down.
    Third: PW

This is from a fan's perspective not a business perspective.

Pac beats Cotto down nobody is going to care. He already did it and recently.

Pac knocks out Margarito....Mosley already did it and Margo hasn't beaten anybody significant since, and he cheated before so beating a non cheating Margo what does it mean?

Maybe they could resurrect Valero from the dead and Pac vs Valero could happen on Halloween.

Even though Marquez got handled by Floyd we all know that was bull**** with the weight games and the payoff . Marquez nearly beat Pac twice - give him a third chance he deserves it.

    Pac-Berto.

A cotto rematch is quite insipid, imho.

Arum wants Pac/Cotto regardless if Floyd signed or not.
