This Castillo beat Mayweather business has gone on long enough

i always thought floyd won that fight much like i think roy won the 1st tarver actually i think it was closer than mayweather castillo 1people tend to give credit when they think the fight is more competitive than they thought it was goin to be but even if u think he lost he wiped that idea out with the rematch whats the big deal it would be different if he knocked the guy down 3 times in the 1st rd and the guy fought back to a draw and then had a contoversal desicon in the rematch uhhumm by the way i had pac winning both jmm fights but why is it a double standard with people doesnt make any sense

Been a while since i saw it but i had it a draw.

 

I've literally just finished watching the fight and that's how I scored it, some close rounds like the 4th and the 11th but that was how I would have scored it if I were judging.

Post your scorecard up mate and we can compare.

 

It's already in the rbr thread, I don't have it memorized.

What I do remember was agreeing with letterman except I had 2 rounds reversed... I think 3rd and 4th I had switched.

 

I don't see how he could of gave the 4th to Castillo when he only landed something like 5 shots in total and not all of them were clean.

Mayweather for me picked up a lot of rounds by scoring with the clean jab to the body.

 

I honestly don't even like arguing this anymore.

I played both sides of the fence. I defended mayweather for the win back in 06 and 07 because I liked the idea of him being undefeated.

Now that i'm over that **** and tired of him bragging I went back and watched it objectively.

He got a gift in my opinion, and castillo deserved to get the big win for the way he closed the fight.

We're not going to change the results, but I just don't like boxing injustice in the name of charismatic stars. It's getting old.

Every floyd super fan has me on some personal hit list because I try to marginalize his record.

I am sick to death of hearing him be overrated by the same 20 guys every single day on this forum. I am sick of the "he deserves 60/40" and "manny is on roids" bull****.

It's all detrimental to boxing. It's absurd. The ****er is 1 boxer. 1 boxer in the entire sport.

Stop idolizing individual boxers and then the whole sport can grow.

3 and 4 were close, I'm more inclined to give Castillo the 4th rather than the 3rd.
