Montiel got beat by Z Goraz from what I saw in their fight. If he can't handle Z I think Donaire is better than Z.
yes i have gorres the winner i that fight also but since then montiel has been notching good performances. i thought montiel was finished again until we saw his stoppage of hasegawa. donaire is probably better than z but gorres himself is a pretty good fighter, his conditioning just sucks for a 12 round fight.
probably didn't heard about the a-side meth stuff. it makes bullet bounce off you and keeps you going forward in a fight.
He is no.4. Ring rates him no.4 and thats what the media follows. I disagree with it based on resume but thats how its down.
He's talented enough to be there no doubt, but he doesn't even have a top 10 resume, let alone one that has him at 4.
my trainer told me the same things, watch everything, not his hands or eyes best defense is simply to step out of range, not cover up but i didnt realize there was that must science to countering a jab. i need to work on that.. i thought it was all timing, i didnt realize sometimes you can't go over the top because of the shoulder

Wilfred Benitez was a master of this. Never looked an opponents face, just the chest. He was only the best defensive fighter of his era.
I'm a fan of Benitez too and yes he was the best defensive fighter of his era. Him at his best was incredible. I'm going to try looking at my opponent's chest the next time I spar and see howw it works.
