Just intrested to know about other boxers on the forum. Im only 15 and had 9 amatuer fights (won 3, lost 6) Im happy with my career so far, i've made a few mistakes but my record is only the state its in because of the opposition ive faced. My clubmates all believe i've had terrifcly hard bouts, facing multiple punchers and good fighters. Im a tall lad and box at 58 kilo's (around junior lightweight) although my career started @ 52.

    First Bout
I boxed a lad named Tom Rooke on my first bout, he'd already had one and stopped him. He had a brilliant punch on him i remember, and boxing at turf moor in front of his home croud, he rallied to stop me on a nose bleed in the second. I took a standing 8 count in the first and although he was hitting me hard i just kept walking forward, taking shots but giving them back. I came back strongly in the second, putting him to the ropes even though he hadnt managed to get me there, before blood started dripping awfully from my nose and the ref (best ref in my area) stopped it. I was upset but I knew I showed potential in that bout.

    Second Bout
3 weeks later, on my home show, I fought a lad on his debut who was extremly dirty. The story of this bout was he'd throw slaps which he'd get warned for, i'd hit hard straight shots on him, he'd clinch, ref would break. I gave him a count in 2nd before the ref dq'd him in the 3rd. Confidence booster.

    Third Bout
In the championships I had to box a lad who'd had 8,won 6. I didnt know this at the time but did my self proud here. We both had a slow, even first round yet he was still up 4-0 by the end of the round. The scoring was a joke. I came out in brillaint shape to win the 2nd 3-0, and the 3rd 2-1. It was scored 5-5 and heartbreakingly, i lost 13-12 on countback. I was happy though, my preformance was good.

    Forth Bout
My father has billed this as my preformance of my career. I have in on disk but i dont know how to burn to my pc so i could show you guys. I boxed a lad who had 6 against my 3, he had won 3-3, and i took it at a days notice. I controlled the fight, pinning him to the ropes and showing the fastest hands I have ever done (never replicated the speed since) and took a unanimous verdict. Felt on top of the world.

    Fith Bout
However, my last bout worked against me here as i charged recklessly as a counter-puncher, an extremly skilled one at that. First round he caught me alot but in the second i had a good workrate which kept me in the bout, before in 3rd he caught me a few too many times and had me going back too much for me to do anything but lose on majority desision.

    Sixth Bout
Start of the new season, fresh and confident that I was going to do big things this season. Being told I was facing a fellow 2-3 recorder, I felt he was too bad comptition to be better than me. Big mistake. His real record was 5-0 with 2 stoppages and he is still to this day the best lad i've fought. Shorter and with great speed, power and head movement he had me reeling backwards taking big shots all fight. Eventully my corner wouldnt let me go out for the last round. I was heartbroken, but learned from the defeat.

    Seventh Bout
Champs again. Another 5-0 lad with a stoppage to his name, and boy he was good. But , first round, I came out and iced him with what my coach describes as the best he's ever seen me. Yet i let it go to my head, and the next two rounds , as i danced like prince naseem, he slowly came back to take the split desision. I acted as a fool against an oppenent i should of easily beat (though everyone thought he'd stop me in the 1st before it.) Biggest bollocking of my life after that one.

    Eighth Bout
Not much to say here, except i was boxing another kid predicted to smash me. He boxed awful, i boxed even worse. I looked really bad, ducking extremly low even though im tall, and In an annoying bout, I lost majority. I boxed the worse ever there.

    Ninth Bout
I was told this was my do or die bout by my coaches. I was boxing a lad with exactly same record, been stopped twice like me, and it was the last bout of the season. He came in staring me down and banging his gloves trying badly to intimidate me. I didnt let him bother me, as he was a lot smaller than me I knew i could make a last minute change to my style to spur me on. For the first time in my career, I waited for him to come and walk on to my shots, and looked really good in every round, even giving him a count in the last and nearly stopping him although he was saved by the bell. My coach was very proud of me , and shouted out "Kingy's back!"

There you have it , my career so far. Hope you actually bothered to read it all after i've wrote all that :rofl
Tell me about your career! :bbb

My first bout - ( 3 x 2 mins ) - Out in the opponents hometown, very close fight. 5-4 to him eventually. I bust his nose but I got a point deducted for 'taunting' him. Learned from this abit. LOSS

second - (3 x 1 mins) -Away from home again, saw the guy at the weigh in and he was huge, bigger, older, taller than me, he'd been boxing for four years to my 1. Good fight but he won a clear 8-4 decision. LOSS

third - (3x2 mins)- Away from home yet again. Fighting a guy with 8 fights. He was 18 years old I was 14 and he was about 6 inches taller. I rocked him a little in the first but my fitness let me down (too much emphasis on weights). Unanimous decision for him. LOSS

fourth - (3x1 mins) - First round, opponent came out throwing haymakers and i ducked them all pretty much, getting some good punches in. He took abit of a spaz in between round coz of his headguard being loose but we carried on in the second, same as the first but he taunted me so I taunted him then hit him with some hooks and he quit.

0-1 I don't think I was prepared, conditioning wise. The other guy was swinging crazy while I wasn't throwing enough. In the end he won by decision.

1st bought: Fought in Austin Golden Gloves, was stuck in the novice class for some reason even though I had no fights.... oh well. He laid on some pressure, I was timid and began backing up; we begin to exchange. I give him an 8 count. 3rd round we exchange again, I begin gaining control and knock his head back.. somehow I get the 8 count and fight is stopped lol xD. Loss

2nd Bought: 3 days after austin fight (San Antonio Golden Gloves), I made quick work and won via stoppage. Win

3rd Bought: Finals of San Antonio Golden Gloves, opponent literally ran at me. I get stuck on the ropes and take a few shots, but fight my way out. Pretty slow fight, both of us are tired for cutting weight; He threw more shots, but I landed more and landed crisp. I go to corner and coach tells me I have the fight won. I go to the ref and I don't get the nod. Loss

Wow mate good for! :good Some people don't like posting their record cos they think losing is inferior in amateur sports. In boxing, losing is a better experience than winning.

    2-1 (1KO)

I'm 3-3. Lost the first two, had three wins in a row, and lost the last one. I'm rather seriously injured at the moment, and probably months away from just training. If I don't fight again before December (due to an age limit), this is it.
