As a kid I was brought up listening to Michael O'Hare commentating on the great Kerry football team in the early 80's...:yep

I have never managed to get a ticket for any Hurling Finals as they areas rare as rocking horse ****...:yep

When we had Setanta over here it was great, struggle like hell to watch it now...:-(

 

What's the programme called...:think What time is it usually on...:think

There used to be a lot of Gaelic football played in the Leeds area when I was about 11 or 12..... for some reason the local team based out of the church just over the road from me only has one team now (used to have about 6-7).

I was thrown out of the Yorkshire under 14 squad once they discovered I didn't attend a Catholic school :-(

bloody hell that was harsh, especially considering the GAA are trying to integrate the immigrant communities here into teams now

 

It's years ago now..... I think our team was the only one at the time that accepted non-Catholic players, there were five or six in our side that got to the trials and three of us made it in - two of us got redded.

Just one of those things I guess, the coach/manager was in charge of one of the sides that we kept beating..... retribution :yep

I was already taking rugby quite seriously by then and needed to make a choice, it was only 'cos the standard was crap that I got anywhere in the game really..... just a big left boot :yep

Had a night on the **** in Cork many a moon ago, there was a club called Cubins I think it was called...:think

And a pub called Charlie's near the River Lee...:yep

Funny as ****, we went in about 930 in the morning and said..

"Excuse me love, what time do you open...?"

"11 o'clock lads" she replied...

"Ah well, nevermind" we said

Then she came out with the best part... "Do you want a pint while your waiting lads...!"

ya cubins is still going strong, im barred thow atsch its probably the best club in cork.
Id say that woman in charlies was takin the **** out of ya though because thats an early house bar,opens about 7 o clock :rofl. barred out of there too :-(

 

WHY ?

 

Probably drinking a couple of pints of " What the **** are you looking at..."
