There's a group of ****s singing this at every single British fight I've watched over the last few years. Is this the most annoying thing to happen to televised boxing since adverts between rounds?
It is annoying, but less so in my opinion that "Who are ya" chanted by British fans at such non-entities as Kostya Tzysu and Roy Jones Junior.
It depends if you are enjoying watching and supporting your fighter...:yep The most annoying thing at the moment is when commentators apologise for the use of motivational industrial language when the cameras are in the corner...:yep
They are people who are pissed and ignorant, they would be much better placed at a Punch and Judy show...:deal
am sure this forum is full of women, anything to moan over its called an atmosphere you miserable ****s stay the **** at home and watch it on tv on mute
Chanting, clapping, singing, I think all those add to the atmosphere and would much prefer that than a bunch of mute Americans sitting down eating hot dogs.
germans clap more between rounds than in the fight itself. same atmosphere as tennis. on the other hand, at least make somthing new up. it's like saying the same knock knock joke over and over. also people who do stasrt them off hang out in a usual group of 5.....possibly because they each have 1/5th of a personality.
i think its alright. I was in germany for the klitschko-chagaev (meant to be haye ) fight and andy lee was on the undercard. a few of us started shouting for andy and were told "be quiet, this is not a wrestling match" german twats
Not that bad IMO, as people have said its preferable to no atmosphere. Crowd noise really gives a fight that 'big fight' feel. 'Who are ya' is **** though and ought to stay at the footie, inappropriate IMO when its a guy going into the ring risking his health for your entertainmet.
