I doubt Montiel will accept it. He has not much to gain and would make more $ fighting Japanese fighters Nishoka or a Hasegawa rematch. Montiel also has his eye on a 4th title in a 4th weight division. Too much risk and too little reward for a fight with Donaire.

It would be amazing if they do put this as an undercard at pac's next fight. Pac hasn't had a decent undercard in any event he's been headlining since...hmmm... ever. Again congrats to Donaire for the win. Glad he's taking on a big name again.
I can remember how feather fisted Z Gorres box Montiel silly and I can imagine how Donaire will do the same and with much power. Eventho Montiel improved a lot after that Gorres fight, I still think it won't be enough to defeat Donaire. Hope Montiel will accept the Donaire fight.
atsch I had Montiel winning SD.He was stronger and landed the heavier punches and came on in the last round.I thought the judges had it right.BOXED him silly?...yeah ummm no.Montiel won that fight.
It was a close one, an SD and I won't complain if it was Gorres declared the winner. You're right Montiel landed the heavier punches (of course Z Gorres is feather fisted) but Z landed more punches. Wish I can show you a photo of Montiel's face right after that fight. It's swollen and marked.
Great fight. Bantamweight is as stacked, if not moreso, than any other division in the sport right now, and that's a hell of a matchup. I hope it happens!
Great fight between two top guys in their division. Donaire will win by UD imo. As would Hasegawa if he got a rematch.
