Ouch!:shock: I've been very nuetrual about this whole ordeal b/c there was no solid evidence or proof proving that Marg knew or even cheated. The fact that Marg is now saying that there was in fact something different tells me that he did in fact knowingly cheat. I'm a bit dissapointed b/c I wanted to give the benefit of thed doubt to Tony but with that statement it doens't look like I can give him the benefit of the doubt any more.:-(
Same point I have made. He finally admitted that these weren't just old knuckle pads that had been pulled out of the bag in haste or error. It was a calculated thing.
With that said.....no one has ever said that Marg hits like bricks or with a lot of power. Even Williams who faught Marg before Shane or Cotto said that he didn't believe Marg was using anything in his wraps to make him hit harder b/c he said Marg didn't hit that hard at all to him. I'm sure Cotto would have anther take on that comment but the only one who really had damage that was extreme when facing Tony is cotto. But Cotto was eating A LOT of leather late in the fight and much of it was FLUSH.
hmmmm..............I am thinking of going back and quoting all the staunch Margarito defenders on this thread but I don't have the time, or feel like it. Marga-cheato, should just go back to school or something, take some evening classess at the Local Community College so he can find a career in something else.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO FIND A TRANSCRIPT OF WHAT WAS ACTUALLY SAID....CAUSE CSI PUERTO RICO is clearly making **** up....... the only part where margo was questioned about that he said HE DIDNT KNOW at the time and said he HIMSELF WOULD'VE QUESTIONED IT IF IT FELT "DIFFERENT", BUT HE DIDNT...HE SAID IT FELT THE SAME.... keep in mind that whatever was found, was found in the "regular knuckle pad" that every fighter uses........so of course it's easy for him not to feel a difference
A commissioner just asked what could have happened to Shane had they not discovered those wraps. (2:05 PM) His answer -- "It would have been harm to Shane Mosley. It would have put him in danger. If I had known there is no way I would have gone out there." Thats not the answer from an honest person. The answer they were looking for was...." if I had known I would have told that S.O.B Capetillo to take that crap off my wraps..." In Law Enforcement and Judicial venues they recognize the pattern when someone is not forthcoming!!!

Why did he resort to other tools rather than prove he is the same person with the same punch in which he prided himself while wearing down his opponents? Was there some advantage missing?
