Man, there are a TON of Jewish fighters. It used to be perfectly commonplace in the old days. Benny Leonard and Barney Ross are on a lot of top 25 p4p lists.

You're totally right but he did that for his manager Jackie Kallen, I think.

 

Some of those guys almost certainly changed their names...from O'Reilly to Goldberg, etc. These are almost certainly all Irishman trying to capitalize on the ethnic thing.

I have seen that too, I believe he wore it against Jones and a couple other times.

 

No he wore the star of david on his trunks, but he wasnt even jewish.


More recently Dana Rosenblatt. I know he wasnt great but along with Yuri Foreman probably the best Jewish guy in recent years.
