Haven't been on much in the past 24 hours, so I'm not sure if this is old news or not. I did a quick search for a thread and nothing popped up, but if there's a post already..then mods please delete.

    Anyway, per Steve Kim's Twitter...

Interesting match up. I think Pavlik would stop Jr. though in a FOTY candidate.

I'd be amazed if this happened. To say Top Rank have moved Junior slowly would be an understatement. After putting him in against Duddy, which was a significant step-up, why would they throw him to the lions like this?

The fight with Mayorga is enough of a risk.

At the risk of stating the obvious, Pavlik would destroy him.

Bull**** fight! Pdub insists he's moving back down to 147. That means that if Pavlik stays at 160, there's only one fight that matters, and this sure as hell ain't it.

if pavlik can't beat chavez then he's clearly finished. i'll go so far as to say if he can't ko chavez he ought to just sit in some bar in youngstown and tell people about the good old days when he actually meant something. one thing for sure against chavez he better double that ****ing jab.

There is absolutely nothing about either fighter that suggests Pavlik will do anything less than beat him to a bloddy pulp. It's the only feasible outcome.

If Pavlik wins, are you going to use it as proof he can beat an actual top class fighter, like you've done before? I loved your use of Miranda, McKart etc., as reasons why Pavlik would beat Martinez.

"Pavlik hit JCC Jr. all night with his right, he'll do the same against Ward!!"

if this fight comes off, i'm interested.

chavez jr proved last time out that he's got alot to offer..i'm not saying duddy is a world class beater, coz he isn't.but he's certainly no push-over either.

if the fight comes off, i'll go for pavlik to get a very late stoppage or UD in a really tough one.he's gonna have to bring his A game to win though..coz if he doesn't, chavez could hand him his 3rd defeat.

If the fight took place would you predict that Chavez Jr would be on the end of a career ending beat down?
