I think Lawrence holds some kind of 70mtr school sprint record that still stands today. But that was years ago before the league injuries and bulking up took over. I would say he would be quicker than Inglis, the Morris boys and maybe Hayne. When I 1st saw him run it was a 90 mtr effort against Penrith and Jennings was taking some mtrs off him.
You have raised a question that my dad and I were discussing a few weeks back. Manly historically have always had a speedster of some sort in their team...now they have jack ****. Brett Stewart has 2 old knees and would be lucky to beat me. Apparently Young Hoppa goes alright but i havnt seen him in open space yet
Scott Donald and Chris Hicks are the most recent few that come to mind, now their backline is looking pretty bare.
I do tend to agree with you. Pretty well every team has one or two speedsters and Manly (Even Bulldogs) for some reason have none... They havn't had any really fast runners for a few seasons. However their quality of their game is far more lethal (maybe not in recent times :yep) than most teams witht he speedstars.
Gasnier scores winning try....dragons win :hammertime:hammertime:hammertime I wonder if Pecks has his internet back on yet
Tony Williams is a slow-poke. Wolfman goes alright though but he cant do much sitting on the sideline all the time.
Inglis is going to the Broncos :happy The dismantling of the once great cheats Melbourne Storm has begun :happy
