Who is currently the most overrated fighter?

somewhere in the "who is the greatest fighter of our era" poll.

 

1) I would argue that Chambers' wins over Peter and Dimitrenko are worth a little more than wins over Valuev and Ruiz. Valuev should have had 4 - 5 losses when he faced Haye, Peter had only lost to the Klitschkos, Ruiz had what, 8 losses?

2b) Valuev may never have been in a battle, but in the last three years looked extremely disinterested in the ring. His fights against Ruiz, Chagaev, Holyfield and Haye had no urgency to win, just going through the motions, while his trainer tried to insult him into doing something. Mentally, Valuev is the most lethargic HW champ I can remember.

Haye is a good fighter, the point here is that he proclaimed himself saviour of the HW division and some fans still fall for his hype. There would be no need to diminish his accomplishments if he had some realism about where he ranks.

First off how can you say that?
Khan is hardly a cocky guy. When asked questions about his future its clear he knows he is not a finished article and also knows he has a way to go. I have not ever heard him say he is the best but if you can provide any evidence then please go ahead.

Also How can you say a boxer with some great techinal boxing skill is overated? Yes you can say he has a weak chin and is being protected, but until he steps in with a big name, which i i trained Khan would not be for at least another 2 fights, you have no proof.

People mix the Khan of the past with the Khan of now. The jury is out on Khan.... For now.

I would add to that haye called out the klitchkos and now is fighting audley harrison possibly wtf, cant take that guy seriously.

 

Gotta say, there isn't a massively overrated, universally dick-sucked fighter in the world today, the very best deserve all the praise while such good fighters as JuanMa, Gamboa, Haye, Donaire, Martinez, Khan, Caballero or the Klitschkos get a lot of negative input to balance things out.

Ultimately though, the most overrated fighter might be the one getting the least votes ergo the least negative opinion here, the top 3 are Martinez, Donaire and Gamboa at the moment.

 

That is why i didn't list haye. People forget that he was the unified CW champ.
