And if you have seen "highlights" of Cotto vs Urkal, how did you think Cotto looked in that fight?

Did he look, as you have said, 160lbs and ripped?

Or did he look 159lbs and bloated?

    You tell me. :good

Actually no ofcourse punch resistance doesn't go down when you weigh more, fighting against bigger men who hit harder means you have less relative punch resistance , but given Hatton/Tyszu are weight drainers and Floyd isn't it makes little difference in this comparison. (Went over your head that didn't it?)

I don't see the relevance of your question, given Cotto is likely around 155-160 in all his fights anyway.

    PROVE ME WRONG :deal

That may be the case. Hatton was definitely not as resilient at welter in '06/'07 than he was at light-welter in '05/'06. He was a lesser fighter in every way at welter. Which, of course, makes it even more eternally and mind-bogglingly stupid that PP thinks Ricky was physically stronger and had better punch resistance as a welter than JCC had as a superfeather!

What can you tell from one photograph though? Watch the fight, and read threads from the time about how Cotto looked in that fight.

So a 147lbs Luis Collazo hits harder than a 140lbs Kostya Tszyu?

That was what the difference was, not Hatton being physically weaker and less resilient at 147?

 Ridiculous. You've failed for the 3,000th time on this one thread!

I can and have proved you wrong.

    You said Cotto was:

    "160lbs ripped"

And I am directing you to a fight where he weighed his heaviest ever in a ww fight, which was less than 160, and where he was not "ripped" at all, he looked bulkier than usual around the midriff, something which Cotto fans and people who have seen that fight agree with.

Do you now accept that I have proved you wrong on that point?

    JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ
Record when he left the sfw division: 55-0
Best wins: Stoppages of Roger Mayweather, Ruben Castillo and Mario Martinez, points wins over LaPorte and Lockridge

    RICKY HATTON
Welterweight record: 1-1 (0 KO wins, 1 KO defeat)
Best wins: None, because he didn't deserve the decision in the fight he did 'win'

Who was stronger and had better punch resistance?

99 people out of 100 say Chavez.

The PowerPuncher stands alone. The quiet man.

I was answering your specific Q and you just agreed with my answer

Chins get worse down the stretch as a man tires, accurate clean punches are more damaging too, Collazo got a tiring Hatton very clean

I take it you didn't see Hatton-Tackie at 140 either, similar to the Collazo fight in Hatton on shakey legs at the end. It wasn't just the weight class

You agreed with me that Hatton as a welterweight is stronger than a small 130lb Chavez, that was the point, what are you arguing about now?
