Thats right everyone will be behind him if it comes through for him but he would stand a much better chance of winning a title if he had 3 maybe 4 more fights under his belt and the way hes clocking up fights that would be early next year.6 months extra could make a huge diffrence for Willie thats all im saying.

I'm not to sure what the Russian who beat her is like but Katie will be ok. I've seen her box in tournaments at light welter a weight division above her own and beat European moralists on the 15 point rule. I've done a few rounds with katie alright and she gives as good as she gets with the boys. I've seen lads trying to take her head of because she's clipped them but she holds her own. She is as skillful as all the boys but maybe just not as fit as the top lads and but that is to be expected. But this is probably just because the boys are stronger and wear her done abit. I have complete faith that katie Taylor will qualify for London and come back with the gold around her neck. In my eyes she is the greatest female athlete ireland has ever produced.

i agree, we give out because fighters fight dudds then one lad takes a risk and we say its too soon!! Willie Casey took all the risks going to canada, prizefighter and now he is getting the reward. With peters involved this might be his only chance at an EU shot.

Well to be fair it isn't really a step forward for Willie, Emiliano is pretty poor and not as good as Cave or a couple of guys Willie faced in Prizefigther - most notably Josh Wale.

Dressing it up as an eliminator is also misleading, when it isnt an eliminator - especially when we all know that the only reason that he is in the top 10 is because he is Italian and has also lost 5 of his last 6 fights and while we are at it is a natural bantamweight.

I am just saying- he might not get a chance in a year. Look at the Hylands! Paulie as EU champion could be deserving of a shot, but he cant get one.
