David lemieuxs next possible opponent?

    I know David has a growing army of fans since his impressive ko of former world title challenger ayala on ESPN and ive heard rumours that his next fight could possibly be a WBC title eliminator on the undercard of Bute vs Brinkley which also will get massive viewing numbers on ESPN.:good
    My question is who do you guys think will be his next opponent if it is an eliminator surely the opponent will have to be decent like Rubio, David lopez, Lorenzo, Chavez jr, Andy lee,? All beatable but still worthwhile opponents.

    Bute would be unrealistic at this point IMO.

    read the post. undercard of bute he said.
    I personally think theres no rush with this kid. hes only young. I think a few more learning fights on espn would serve him better than a title shot.
    imo someone like espino would be ideal. only been stopped by pavlik, and reasonably well known due to the contender.
    MW is a hot division in a few years. jacobs, pirog, lemieux, golovkin, njikam, lee, macklin,barker,guerrero,quillin. some big fights there

    What i really wanted to find out is Davids next fight really going to be an eliminator and if anyone had any ideas who his next opponent will be?

    Forget that title eliminator rumor on ESPN.

    From what I heard that's dead for the moment.

    David will fight on the undercard of Pascal-Dawson. Since there isn't any money left for the undercard. I'm guessing it's going to be a stay busy fight against a bum.

    Bute is with Interboxe and Lemieux is with GYM. It is impossible that Lemieux will be in the undercard.

    Wait... what rumor about a fight on Bute's undercard? ESPN said a few weeks ago that he was going to headline a show on August 28th (two weeks after Pascal-Dawson) but that has been canned and he will now fight on the Pascal-Dawson undercard.

    I haven't heard anything about him fight on Bute's undercard.

    It's possible (they have a better relationship now) but very unlikely.

    He won't be fighting an eliminator yet. His people won't let him. He needs to just fight someone durable. Kid's only gone past the 5th round once in his career, and he needs to prove his stamina before stepping up to world class.

    That said, if Anthony Mundine, Robert Stieglitz and Juergen Braehmer can face Argentinian cabdrivers in title fights, then I guess so could Lemieux.
