Manny is massively underrated by some people. It is possible that he was paid to lose the fight. But do you know whats more possible, that he just couldn't get his shots off. Pacman, through 1200 shots, they were hard and fast. Clottey said everytime he dropped his guard he got hit. I think Manny just scared him into not wanting to punch. If he was paid to lose, he wouldn't have chose to lose every single round and look like an idiot, he would have just lost the fight.

Exactly! Clottey was exchanging with Cotto and throwing back and forth with him. He was really letting his hands go that night. If he wasn't paid not to be Pac it would have been a very entertaining fight and we would have seen at least a knock down or two.

There have been many catchweight fights by many great fighters, Cotto accepted it and physically was able to do it. In the end anything above 140 is considered welterweight, if it wasn't welterweight then the commission would get involved but they're not because that's a deal between two teams which is legal.
