I agree. Brock has a ton of experience and has fought all over the world. He has beaten the best fighters in thier prime. His dominance can be measured in decades, not months. He is what all fighters want to be. His standup is amazing and his submissions are sick. He can finish someone standing, in thier guard, in his his guard, on his back, or with one hand tied behind his back. His record speaks for itself. He fights VERY often, like every 10 days. And only against the best. He is hated on because of his unbeatable persona. The man is a legend.:happy
Oh I agree. He is a badass. Just the raw experience to know that when you are hit to fall in the fetal position and wait for the bell to ring. You can't teach that, that is natural. Plus, his skill in wanting to put on a show for everyone by getting hit with punches that come with stamps and a cover letter is impressive to say the least. He is the GOAT. No doubt:happy
Can't think of why he is considered close to a top heavyweight? Probably all those heavyweight fighters he beat. I was unaware brute strength was illegal, also that it teaches you how to grapple.
That's why they fight in an expansive cage and not a phonebooth. What was he supposed to do after getting rocked like that? Standing and trading at that point would have been ******ed. The fact that he was able to run and avoid a lot of further damage at his size after that shot is kind of impressive in and of itself. He wasn't avoiding engaging all fight right (haven't yet seen it)?
yeah i ain't paying for it though. but based upon that clip, i don't think what i said was inccorrect, u gotta do what u gotta do to survive after that shot....but yeah brock doesn't look like the baddest man on the planet there
He is the baddest man on the planet. Dana said so, Joe Rogan said so, Mike goldberg said so, and millions of UFC fans said so. That is iron clad proof:deal
Its always good to base your opinion off someone elses without accessing the facts for yourself no? Brock is certainly talented no question. He's done alot in a short space of time considering his achievements which are augmented greatly by the UFC hype machine. But he's not even close to being the best or baddest heavy on the planet. That we can agree on.
as i said, i was basing my opinion off of the facts as evident in the clip because the original criticism was that brock was basically a ***** in that clip
But don't people say Fedor is great because even though he has been in tight spots he finds a way to win? I mean, yes Fedor was rocked hard against Fujita but he found a way to win and that's why he is great. He was slammed directly onto his neck by Randleman but found a way to win. When Brock finds a way to win, something that should earn him some respect considering he's fighting a guy coming off of 12 first round stoppages, people use that win to discredit him. Stop creating false equivalencies between all of the **** talk that you and your ilk **** all over Brock Lesnar with anything anyone says about Fedor (at least on this forum, I don't go to Sherdog). ****, the most common criticism you ever hear about Fedor nowadays is that he isn't the best HW in the world right now (coming off of a loss) but he is still the greatest heavyweight of all time. Seriously. Brock Lesnar DIDN'T get stopped by Carwin which is more than any of Carwin's opponents can say. I don't care what he did. I don't care if he ran across the ring for 2 full rounds just to try to recuperate. They were both locked in a cage and Lesnar won the fight. Lesnar is the very first to win against Carwin. You sure talk a lot of **** about what a coward he was but he won where MOST fighters would have just ended up KOd.
Fedor finds a way to win by fighting out of it. Not taking punches till the round runs out. He was activly trying to get out of the triangle and held on for a tremendous amount of time.
And Nog never absorbed a beating until the opponent gassed? Is Lesnar Nog? Of course not, but losing a fight right up until you win it doesn't mean you didn't win it.
I assume that baddest man on the planet or best fighter on the planet really just mean #1 HW in the world. I mean, even the most biased list ever could only really rate Overeem, Fedor, Werdum, and Dos Santos (Valesquez maybe?) over Brock. That put's him at #6, with the UFC title, coming off of 4 straight wins with 3 being against top 10 opponents. The dude is close.
